So, still nothing.

I do wonder if both players were talked about last trade deadline to the point where a future trade was pretty much a slam dunk in principle, as in both sides gave a framework of what they'd want and what they'd give up.

No matter what the other teams say, the players had the say of where they were going, so if Ball and Lowry were set on going to a certain team, their current teams had to take what they could get(or those teams would have made cap space to get them vs S&T). It's a touchy situation for Silver since it looks "dirty" because they were agreed on instantly but it really wasn't, the players have the power to say where they're going in FA or in Ball's RFA situation if his team doesn't want to pay/match.

As a John Wall fan since his debut, all the buyout chitter-chatter is making me feel things.

Interesting name to keep an eye on if he's bought out. I don't see us trading for him but in a buyout scenario it could be interesting.

Tucker/Morris/KZ make me interested in every PF talent out there, Bagley is that.

Is Spo going to start a guy like Bagley? If not, no use in talking about him. Dude crying about coming off the bench as is.

Bagley should have been traded. His problem is that he needs a new team to really see if its him or the team thats the problem.
lets face it Kings are a mess, they dunno what they want to do with Heild Bagley or Fox really but they wont let them go. They are terrible with their use of bigs. Doesnt really matter if he starts or not. If he dominates his time he will force them to play him more minutes.

in other news Belly and Brdley looked good last night especially Belly. I forgot all about him and thought for sure we would keep him but i guess after Dragic left those chances were slim.

With the Nets and 76ers in semi-shambles due to key players sabotaging their teams, we have a narrow window to slip through to get the 2nd seed and give us a legit chance to make the conference finals again this season. Once there we have a puncher's chance. Hopefully guys step up their game all season long so we can take advantage.

Wouldn't he put us in the luxury tax?

If he takes any significant cut negotiating his buyout (and he should have to, he's too stupid for this life. He ain't ever seeing a fraction of that money again. I suspect the only way he gets moved is if he's traded.

John Wall coming off the bench here would be pretty damn fun. Would allow us to manage Kyle's minutes throughout the season.

John Wall who is a capable 20pt scorer would cement us in the top 3 category atop the East. Currently were ranked interchangeable between 4-6 in the East by most, A john wall caliber player off the bench along with Herro, Struss, Yurt is not going to lack scoring specially with Oladipo coming back we would the best bench in the league.

Bradley got hurt then (IMO) extended his rehab time to trade him vs chance him getting hurt again(since the trade deadline was just weeks away at that point). Miami seems to like extending non-core player's rehab time to give other players minutes to keep them happy or just look at them.

Miami "will" go into the luxury tax if they feel with that player they are a true/strong contender to justify going into the luxury tax this year and starting the repeater tax a year early.

Although this year looks much better starting the season then the last 2, next year is the year this team will really be going after a championship(hence not wanting to start the repeater tax early). Miami will know what they have with Herro, Oladipo and Stus while having a better idea what Yurtseven and Vincent should be able to provide and with that, be able to make another big move to strengthen the overall rotation, namely starting PF or C if they were to move Bam back to PF.

Next season will be the year, no hard cap, expectations of going into the luxury tax by retaining Oladipo, being able to acquire vets on the vet minimum(vs what Miami did this year with rookies, not signing a 15th player and 2-ways) and some reshuffling of the cards, things can change obviously but that seems more then likely the path this organization is going down. The next few years after this season should be Championship or Bust years giving Riley another real chance at another ring.

Think Pat would be targeting Bagley. How he would target him is a question mark. Kings definitely not releasing him. However Kings are a weird organization never can understand their direction. Bagley has been a good player. He can also hit the corner treys. I think Bagley can be a 20 pt scorer in a few years. A 20 and 8 guy.

I'd expect they're holding Bagley out in hopes of a Simmons trade since Bagley gets a lot of little injuries and isn't being seen as a keeper by the organization(he and his family have been at odds with the organization).

Bagley is the one guy I put in my season predictions of a player Miami may trade for but Sacramento won't be giving him up for nothing, they still look at him as an asset so Tucker/Morris/KZ is nowhere close to a trade they'd be interested in. This is one of those situations where Miami doesn't have a lot of "decent/good" assets so you're looking at Robinson or Herro for a Bagley package and more then likely a 3+ team trade because Sacramento will want to ship Hield out too.

Think of it this way, Oladipo is on his way back and I'm all for going into the playoffs and beyond with Lowry, Oladipo, Butler, Bagley and Bam as Miami's starting 5 vs Lowry, Butler, Robinson, Tucker and Bam, who knows, maybe Miami could add another needed roleplayer from the trade.

I think the report is that Bagley is out of the rotation not just the starting lineup
