In the short term sure, use him off the bench to keep our guys fresh while we wait for Hero & Oladipo to return. Very unfair to him though because whos minutes is he going to cut into in the playoff's. There's nobody on the bench unit whos minutes should be cut other than our back up point guard if he gets injured. Right now our advantage from the bench is our youth/speed/3pt shooting something I remember him lacking the last year he was with us. His slashing days of breaking down the defense either from the top of the key or off a rebound are behind him.

Doesn’t hurt to bring him in and see what he can do. If anything having him here for chemistry and leadership is more than will get from anyone else filling that spot. His last game he had an efficient 16-5-3 and we know he won’t be scared of the moment. We can’t say that for any of the young guys or Duncan

I think he'll be ready for after the all star game. We are almost there. If he is anything near who he was, we are going to be a problem.

This is HUGE I have a very good feeling about Dipo. He’s going to bring a whole new dynamic to this team

Tonight also made me want Dragic more. He could’ve given the extra offense we needed. Gabe seems to be very inconsistent lately

Anybody have Miami Herald? Want to see what Shaq and Chuck said.

I think basically Shaq thinks we’re top 4 but we won’t win it. Chuck thinks we’ll be right there but not sure we can pull it off.

I was encouraged by Jimmy’s 4th quarter play tonight for the first time in awhile. Dude was a force. Too many dumb mistakes to close and shooters missing shots to pull it out.

At the very least he could have stabilized the offense. The problem with Gabe as a young player is that he can't bring calmness to the game when we're struggling like Mike or Goran would have.

As a side note, I'd take Dragic on the roster over Kyle Guy. Gabe Vincent is our young project point guard, we don't need 2.

Barkley: “This is going to be the most fascinating second half in NBA history. Milwaukee is still the team to beat. But we have no idea what’s going to happen in Brooklyn… and Philadelphia. I’m so excited for the second half of the season. You talk about must see television.

“Anybody who tells you they know what’s going to happen in Brooklyn and Philly, they’re talking [expletive]. I love the trade by Brooklyn [to get Ben Simmons]. I don’t know how they got all that stuff for James [Harden]. If they can get healthy, they can be really scary. I mean really scary. [With Philadelphia], we have to see how James and Joel [Embiid] will co-exist.

“We know what Miami is going to do. They’re going to play hard. They’ve got arguably one of the best coaches in the NBA. But the wild card are the 76ers and Brooklyn Nets.

“I think Milwaukee is the best team but Miami is going to be there, Brooklyn is a wild card, Philly is a wild card.”

Smith: “The Eastern Conference is probably the best it has been in at least a decade and a half easily. Chicago, we haven’t even talked about them. Brooklyn in the eighth spot can win the whole thing. You have a team in eighth spot that might be in a play-in situation that can win the whole thing. That never happens in basketball. There is no clear favorite to win the championship.”

O’Neal: “Miami culture wise, how they play, they’re definitely in the top four. You have to look at matchups. Who’s playing, who’s not playing? It will be exciting. Miami is up there, Chicago is up there, Milwaukee is up there. Brooklyn, now that their team is solidified, they look a lot more dangerous than they have in a long time. But it’s all about matchups.”

Smart idea to let Dipo use Allstar break to pay a few games for Skyforce...get some rhythm back..ease into it

And that difference there is huge for the playoffs. Gabe has been solid, Strus has been solid (amazing when he starts), Martin has been great, Yurt is good in spurts, Duncan sucks, I don’t trust any of them in a playoff setting until I see it happen. I trust Dragic.

Who was it that told me that we could not sign any more two-ways after January? What does this mean?

I would give Dragic the nod in the playoffs well before Gabe. Dragic showed hustle, fire, heart, and that he can lead a team in the playoffs as the second option the year we made it to the finals. In that note alone, and the tears he showed on the bench during the finals, he is the guy I am running on the court to back up Lowry.

I would also give Gabe spot minutes to start building that playoff pedigree for next year, but I am putting my money on Dragic during the playoffs to produce winning plays.

Gabe still has a whole career ahead of him, hopefully on a good contract with the Heat but right now give me the guy who’s going to impact winning more. Dragic is just much more reliable and can make plays when everything breaks down.
