I like the Jimmy fit on OKC, they have more picks than they know what to do with. Trading for him even at 35 makes them an instant contender. Caruso and Hartenstein alone aren’t moving the needle they need star power

This whole plan about waiting for an unknown player to arise is a joke. With that logic they must have some type of word or hunch like they did Dame. Otherwise I don't see how thats a plan.

You're undervaluing moves like this. Consider the additions of Holiday and Porzingis; sometimes, just one championship veteran can make the difference, as we've seen with Boston.

They nearly pushed the Western Conference Finals champions to a Game 7, with SGA outperforming both Kyrie and Luka in the series.

Williams and Chet are also expected to show significant growth next season.

Hmm maybe so. Boston at all times had either Tatum or brown however to take on the star role. OKC does not have another guy like that besides SGA yet. Either way would likely be a great opportunity for Jimmy to finally win a title

Fox. Friend of Bam. Turned down his extension. This may be to trying to make all NBA to secure a bigger pay day, but it's a hard make as a guard. Miami and Klutch seemingly working together again right before he can push out also seems a little fishy.

I'm probably looking too deep into this. Who knows.

Heat don't have anywhere close to the assets required for Fox, not happening. Doesn't matter if Bam is the best man at his wedding and Rich Paul and Riley vacation together now.

You're right, they're not playing Scrabble.

Given Riley's age, it's definitely Bridge

The FO knows we don't have enough right now. Forget the posturing and media talk, they know our lineup isn't title ready.

What will be interesting is the direction they take - right now, we're in a 2016-2018 type purgatory but with some better pieces on the team. We need a move that puts us back in the conversation, or a realisation that our window passed and it's reset time (i.e. the Shaq trade to PHX and biding our time until 2010).

100% agreed!!

If the plan is to just keep whatever picks we land if we end up trading Jimmy, and hope to strike gold in the draft, then we should trade Bam too. Let's go all in on a reset.

Propose a sign-and-trade deal: Duncan Robinson for DeMar DeRozan.

Sign DeRozan for $38 million for 2 years, the same amount we're paying Duncan for the next 2 years.

Robinson addresses the Bulls' shooting issues.

For the Heat, we gain a reliable player who can sustain performance throughout the season, especially when Jimmy Butler is unavailable.

There's a surplus of guards, so either Duncan Robinson or Tyler Herro will likely be traded. I'm betting on Duncan since his contract is easier to move.

Larsson and Burks will step in as replacement with Herro Starting

You are looking too deep into this. Just follow the money. Bam, Fox, Mitchell are all part of the same draft class. They all to be eligible for that 10 year vet max. Thats going to be 380+ for 5 years, so figure over 75 million a year. These cats want that money, everything else is secondary. It will be close to impossible to convince anyone to take a year less, which means losing over 75 mil. The game has changed. Its get that money first, everything else is secondary.
