Really not going to like it if we end up rolling with Vincent, Strus and KZ taking a big chunk of the bench mins.

The problem is we can sign 3 rookie minimums and still fit under the tax. I won’t like it either, but it must be intriguing to Arison lol

Stupid to try the same thing again.

Without his athleticism he’s not much of a player so there’s no point

Hopefully Riley learned his lesson with Mion to know not to mess with re-signing a player to a long term deal after a serious injury.

OKC just invested $70 mil in a super tank team.

No, I'm guessing Walker took a sizable discount to get out to play where he want and probably had a great idea what he'd get if he were a free agent and went where he wanted to go.

Two rookie minimums. We have 3.4 before we hit the tax level meaning they start at 1.7 like we just signed Strus and Vincent for. It's getting stupid at this point. I hope these are not real restrictions and the base is just guessing. It's crazy to think we are going into the season with Strus, Vincent, and KZ relied upon for heavy minutes.

It’s pathetic. No place for this in a league with professional standards. Silver should have intervened. Why pay money to see a tank team?

The league should have a mid point elimination in the season where 4 teams are removed after 40 games in. Make those teams lose out on revenue the rest of the year and don’t give them any advantage on odds in the lotto. Games would become way more competitive with a quickness.

For those concerned about the Lowry and Duncan contracts, at least we know we can always just dump them on OKC if they get too expensive for us. And hell, maybe OKC can just buy them out and they could return to us for cheap lol

Vet min is $1.6mil that would be $4.8mil and we are currently $3.2mil under the tax. Are you talking about filling the roster with 0yr experience mins of 800k?

Those 1.7 deals account for the two way experience and they don't come in as 0 experience rookie deals. Those deals register at under 1 million I believe. That is why I am a bit nervous about how we are going to handle Yurtseven.

He's probably going to want a little raise after we dropped his 1.5 salary. His agent is probably shopping now as we speak. I know as his representation I would be.

If it is at 3.4 as Bobby Marks reported it yesterday, we might be able to sign (example not suggestion) Yurtseven to the same contract as struss and vincent giving us his bird rights at the end of the contract. We then would need to sign two 0 exp rooks and I personally would like to see Garrett be one of those and keep the other open to see who performs.

No, it is the minimum with 0 service time….it is around 900K and change and we can fit 3 of them.

Yeah I don't think we are going that route with the two ways to use for players of that magnitude.

I can't believe we are sitting here trying to figure out how to use 3.4 million to stay under the tax with major holes to fill at backup PG and SF. Avery Bradley and Danny Green should have been signed already. Hell I would even take Iguodala back at this point as a backup SF for the vet minimum.

I think the biggest thing we are really offering Yurtseven is a path to a role on an NBA team this season. We don't have anyone with a similar skill set to him, and there will be minutes available at the big spots for us. It would be a gamble on his part but if he re ups with us on a two year like vincent and struss we can pay him at the end of the contract due to having his bird rights. I just hope we avoid hard capping ourselves for the next couple seasons. It is really uncomfortable.

Garrett and maybe another player like Smart could be our two way players.
