Last I checked we beat the Bucks in 5 and almost swept the Celtics if the Heat didn't fall apart in that 3rd Q of game 4 and then stomped them in game 7 in Boston with Gabe Vincent starting at PG.

Should only motivate him to play better. We could use a chip-on-his-shoulder Tyler next year anyhow.

It's also tiring from his POV. You always hear your name every year for trades.

Everyone has a breaking point and I won't be surprised if he requests a trade in the future.

Meh, not worried about that. He loves Miami and playing with Jimmy and Bam. Doubt he’s the guy that holds a grudge. Also, With his salary, I’m sure he’ll fall right in line

Yea I'm sure the Blazers are bending over backwards overjoyed to pay Maxey the same money Herro got and receive significantly less draft capital on top of that. Oh, and they're gonna get Grant for it, too?

Ya....the hypotheticals Heat fans on this board come up with to drive themselves crazy never ceases to amaze me.

I think Tyler is officially a goner at this point Dame or not.

Maybe, maybe not. Either way I’m expecting us to go into the season with him on the team if this Dame thing drags on like it looks like it will

The only thing I think could change things away from our favor for getting Dame is if a dark horse comes along that can have a good as or better core for Dame to slot into after trading for him. They can convince him he’d have just as if not better of a chance at a championship as with Miami, but without the stigma of joining a team that just went to the finals.

The clippers with Kawhi and George were the only ones I could see with that potential, but they don’t have any better assets than we do to give to get him. Plus george apparently talking **** about Dames trade request and it looks like even more of a long shot.

I’m not buying Philly as a good destination for him for a championship. Harden is not a piece to center any winning around (and they’re not sure if he’ll be there anyway). If Boston manages to keep JB though, and pair Dame with he and Tatum…that is the last long shot that could screw this up.

Brunson: midget who plays no defense, held an L to Bam in the playoffs

Bridges: glorified role player who had a hot streak

Murray: offensive player who was getting clamped by Bam on switches when Spo adjusted, luckily he plays with the most skilled center ever

Zion honestly is such a disppointment. Hes just completely thrown away his career for food! Like what? At least be a crackhead with the money like Odom or something then Id understand a bit. Eating not that hard to control when you have a potential HOF career on the line. Just wait till ya retire and then go off like Barkley if thats your thing lol. And the "pornstars" hes messing around wirh are gross as fuxk! Loke im not usually one to be like oh shes not hot or whatever and be and internet i only get 10s dude guy but damn he letting those nasty ones ruin his life! I just dont get it lol rant over. I like Ant too, I remember Wade saying something like ant has the talent to be better than him. He wont be but hes fun to watch!

That's all true but last 2 seasons when he's played he's put up 26 pts, 7 rbd and 70 % shooting. That Shaq life efficiency. He's so physically skilled that he doesn't have to try hard to have an impact because of how much he dominates the paint. And he's still young. But in the next 2 seasons, if he can't survive till the playoffs and then it would be fair to give up on him despite the talent. It's fair if you or the NBA in general has given up on him now. But I'd wait a bit.

Oh i agree the guy should end up being legendary! Thats what makes him all the more disappointing so far. Dude just doesnt care unfortunstely so far at least to utilize his gifts to go down as an alltimer which was and maybe still is possible.

This is very interesting.

I mentioned this earlier. Spurs have had a lot of Aussie players over the years. This wouldn’t shock me at all.

Simmons and Wemby would be fun, if we got a reasonable facsimile of the real Ben Simmons.

Simmons could run point in peace with Wemby shooting 3’s. That would be one massive lineup

If Wemby ends up being below-average at shooting NBA three's, I wouldn't risk it. He's going to be getting heavily scrutinized by day one and needs to keep distractions at a minimum. (but likely being paired with Jeremy Sochan, so shrugs lol)

soo.... are the Blazers really being this petty?

or is Riley not offering enough or whats going on?

Tell Dame we have to send Caleb out in the trade. We'll find replacements. We're the Heat.

Caleb should easily get us a couple more picks. He is on a great contract.

Just going on the 15 in this list

These have to be top 5. They are no 1 options on their team and all NBA talent
1. Zion (Despite injuries he has the highest ceiling of anyone here by far)
2. Ant (Future MVP candidate)
3. Haliburton (Same as Ant, future MVP candidate)
4. Brunson
5. Mikal Bridges (if he does what he did last season, deserves this spot, if not then he drops)

Next tier, not quite all nba but allstar level players
6. Murray (he'd be lower if Nuggets did not win a title)
7. Bam
8. JJJ
9. Jrue

Really good players/borderline allstar
10. Garland
11. Markanen
12. Porzingis
13. Dejounte
14. McCollum
15. Franz

Winning a chip doesn't make you better than a player who hasn't. And Bam hasn't won either so you can't use that argument to say Bam is better than these guys.
And I know you like Bam but no objective NBA fan would have Bam over these guys. The No 1 skill a basketball player can have is ability to create your own shot at a high level so you can command attention and create for other guys in the process.

All these guy are elite shot creators (Bridges needs one more season to prove it). And Haliburton is an elite playmaker.

Bam just doesn't have the level of offense to be a no 1 guy so you can't put him above guys who are proven no 1 options. Maybe Bam grows to be that, but he isn't that at the moment. And its no disrespect to Bam to acknowledge that

Basketball is both sides of the ball. Bams defense is the best in the world, now tell me which guy here is better defensively than Bam is offensively. Mikal possibly? But he needs to show you 1 more season? Bam scored more this year than bridges has in any season of his career. Bam has 4 of the top 5 scoring seasons between the 2. Offensively he’s also a far better passer. This dude led the league in point the paint, we’ve got to stop treating him like he’s Clint Capela.

Winning does matter and Bams impact is MASSIVE. These guys don’t touch it.

Windhorst works for ESPN, hence he hates the Heat. Of course he's going to push the narrative of Dame to Philly.

Bruh…. He may not be Booker, but he is no bum either. He has outperformed many players picked at or before his pick. He is a positive asset, even at his contract.

Its been reported from multiple Heat media guys that Miami has gone all in. Havent left anything off thr table outside of Jimmy and Bam, whatever they want. Its still not enough at the moment.

Give Caleb to Portland, or send Caleb somewhere for two more first round picks.

Add that to the total. That's a good damn trade.

Okay then they are being petty as ****.

How many picks can we offer?

What is our offer?

My money's on the Blazers being this petty. Just look at this Cronin jerk, he's got petty written all over him.

I doubt Miami's holding back (within reason). My money's on the third team being the hang up. This'll get done tomorrow the earliest, Wednesday the latest imo.

Return to Miami Heat
