Yeah I'm on the pass on KD wagon! 37 yr old Durant isn't appealing!

I haven't said much, but I agree that after 35 you shouldn't be looking for that player to be your lead player. Its just like Butler, he is at the point of age he is a side peice player or maybe the biscuit. Red Lobster got some good biscuits

Kam Jones FT percentage leaves very little to be desired. Reminds me of the major Winslow red flag. I’m out on KJ

2 of my favorite under-the-radar guard prospects are looking like they'll be part of the 2026 draft cycle instead (Sergio de Larrea staying with Valencia for one more year and Adrian Wooley transferring to Louisville). 2026 is definitely looking very strong.

It's a shame that Sergio lost a month+ of the season with a dislocated shoulder. But, if he keeps progressing (and maintains that shooting), I don't see how he doesn't end up a lotto talent as a 20-year old next year.

Having our pick in 2026 isn't looking so bad.

Top PG prospects for me in this draft right now:

Dylan Harper

Jeremiah Fears

Jase Richardson (more combo guard)
Labaron Philon
Ben Saraf
Kasparas Jakucionis
Nolan Traore

I consider all of them to be very intriguing potential additions to develop as a PG of the future.

with our unfortunate playoff berth and seeding we lose our first round pick and get the Warriors 20th pick.
Carter Bryant is the guy if he falls to us. Get familiar from now.
1. Herro 2. Bol Bol 3. Seko 4. Bruno
unless we trade up for Barrett or trade down for PJ Washington

I wouldnt complain. Not a need but you have to pick for ceiling.

Tbh, i wouldn't be surprised if Carter Bryant is gone before 20. Not because of ceiling, but because he might just be one of the safest picks in the draft. His archetype scream playoff contributor within a couple seasons. Many teams could use him.

Upside picks for me might be one of the many pgs in this draft. Traore, Kasparas, Demin, Saraf, maybe even Philon or Kam Jones. Lots of boom or bust potential there. Danny Wolf also intrigues me. He's someone I'd never expect the Heat to take, especially with Bam and Ware on the team, but a 7 footer with his passing and ball handling skills is so unique. You gotta check out his tape, he much less a Kelly Olynyk but more of a Jokic/Sabonis/Sengun with his level of passing and playmaking. His rim protection leaves a lot to be desired though. Idk how'd he work backing up Ware or Bam. Maybe playing next to one of them.

If none of these guys impress the Heat, I wouldn't be surprised if one of the many promising forwards on in this draft ends up getting snatched up. That's an area of strength on our team, so if we took another forward on this team I'm expecting one of Jaime, Jovic, Duncan, Anderson, Highsmith etc to be gone soon.

Just came to share this. Good info to digest and reference, for sure.

Philon has a nice mix of baseline (defense, BBIQ, playmaking) and upside flashes. Rim finishing isn't great yet but he creates a high rate of offense for self and others while playing the whole court. He's the type of guy that will be a playoff performer if all goes well (got some Lowry). Need that 3 ball to come along, but HS numbers were good.

Wish I had access to his splits between C&S and pull-up 3s and his PnR efficiency numbers.

Interesting stat to think about. Moreso a red flag for a player like Traore than anything else I think. Impressive for Saraf to be a quality playmaker and show strong promise in iso.

I might be just in a bad mood about how the season ended, but I'm just not excited about this draft anymore.

We need a game changer offensive creator type. And those will be get picked in the top 15 or so.

For the 1000 times we'll have our pick from the leftovers - more role players for a team with nothing but role players.

Needed a higher pick this year, I don't see anyone interesting being there at #20.

I just now finally decided to look up Cooper Flagg highlights to see what the hype was about and I was extremely impressed! I honestly didn't even know he was white and I assumed he was a guard that's how little attention I pay to college ball lmao!

Love when new prospects that haven't even been on the mainstream draft coverage radar just pop up as the draft approaches and look this good. Consider me very intrigued.

Just can't fool myself to believe we're getting a difference maker at #20. It's just tool low of a pick.

And I'll say something deeper than that :

Hope matters.

What I men by that is even if your high lottery pick eventually never lives up to the hype,
Even if that great prospect you picked never becomes a star -

at least you enjoyed the process. At least you saw the vision. You got hyped.

You had HOPE.

That's important in sports - you don't always win, but you enjoy the ride as long as it exciting, as long as there's potential for something better.

these picks in the 20's...It just doesn't cut it for me anymore. i can't fool myself with false hope about them. It doesn't matter. They won't matter.
