Zeller clobbered us on the glass in this one. Funny watching DJJ trying to box him out as the small ball 4 lol. Forgot that Zeller also has played with Caleb Martin before.

The Heat return on Friday to face the Bucks and then play the Hornets the next night on the backside of a road back to back. Tough return back with the potential of us ending up dropping 4 straight.

tbh i'm not seeing the resemblance.
Granted we didn't see a ton of Jovic, but exept from being white and somewhat tall, he's going to be a diffrent type player IMO.
1) Love was an elite rebounder, I don't see Jovic being that.
2) Love was a great shooter - I REALLY hope Jovic can became that, ATM his 3 point shot is too funky. I'm praying they fix this ASAP because he a nice jumper from mid range, but the 3 point shot is crucial.
3) Jovic in considerably taller and might still be growing, I think his defensive upside is higher then Love's, who was always a below average defender even in his prime.
4) While love has some nice outlet passes, he was never much of a creator for others. I think Jovic has a natural vision and passing talent Love never had.
To me, I feel confident that a guy with Jovic's size, vision, BB IQ can be good soon - but to be great he'll need to become a very good shooter from mid range and from 3, that's the swing skill for him. I'm praying he'll shoot as well as Love had.
I’m not as high on Jovic as others. Good size and decent skillset but if he’s not on the team next season I’d say we got something pretty significant done over the summer and that’d be my main goal. He can go for any star upgrade or win now player without hesitation

This is how I imagine the depth chart as well. Martin will come off the bench as the small ball 4 with Zeller banging down low and being the primary screen setter for the second unit. Helps they played with each other in Charlotte and also keep in mind Oladipo's relationship with Zeller as well.

That's how it should be. Now we'll see if Spo tries to overthink it and put his own spin on it or not.

This is not translating in the game though, then it happens that the other teams 5-9 man lineup is out scoring us by double those points. Additionally when have all of those 4 been healthy and played together it seems somebody is always out, either through load management, injury, or whatever else ales them.

On a personal note, I guess I hold Heat Twitter in as much contempt as Heat Twitter holds our Front Office in contempt.
Did they even get the K Love thing right? I know they wanted Westbrook...
Anyways, I like the roster speculation and very intrigued on the possibilities going forward...

So can some team claim Love off waivers?

That lineup may be worth a look. Would like to see more point Jimmy again.

If memory serves me, claiming him off of waivers involves accepting the remaining portion of his contract… which I am not sure any team has $28million in cap space this late into the season…

Yes, but it's highly unlikely because the team that would be claiming him would then assume his contract.
Teams don't have the space at this juction of the season to fit his cap figure into their numbers.

I think they would need to assume the full contract if they did so not happening.

I guess if Bill Simmons is running the Celtics, he might do it just to spite the zombie Heat

To bill simmons.. all i gotta say is, since 1988, which was our first season, the Heat have won 3 championships vs your 1. In that same time span theyve been to the Finals 6 times vs your 2.
the Miami Heat have been a more successful franchise than your team in the last 35 years. I dont care about those dusty banners you got way up there that would tear up with a light pull because of how old the fabric is.
