Interesting enough Jimmy also said they weren't using Jovic the way they should.

Bill Simmons 5 trade ideas.

Miami/memphis was no,1.

Ja/kcp for herro/rozier (once available).

Miami has to eat kcps extra year. I would think they'd need to find a 3rd team for kcp. Maybe Lakers for rui/knecht?

Simmons thinks zo, ud, etc..can get jas head straight and its worth the risk. The heat could have 2 top 25 guys in ja and bam.

I don’t think you can flip KCP for Rui/Knecht but love it. Would probably need another trade to balance the roster

Morant and Bam on the same team . . . sounds exciting! Ja would excel within the Heat culture.

Starters (just the archtype) would be very close to the Memphis teams when ja was most successful. Basically, surround him with shooters and defenders who can switch.

Bam = jj
Ware = Clarke
Wiggins = brooks
Powell = bane

Is he willing to adapt to this offense?
Does he need a fresh start or is he a lost cause?

Miami's currently implementing the offense that Ja hated last year, but talent is talent, if there's a good deal for Ja-- go ahead.

Ja's off court issues and still not being able to shoot would worry me though

The year is 2025. In what is supposed to be a prime year of Ja Morant's career, a 37 year old Russell Westbrook is a vastly superior player.

Give Memphis the Rozier pick we get back and Jovic.

Have him agree to hypnotherapy and convince him to worry about bball, not gunslinging and carrier pigeons.

There is absolutely no way memphis considers those "pieces" to be equal in value

I dont have the desire to acquire pigeon boy, but his value isnt as high as youd think.

The idea of super Ja doesnt match the reality. He doesnt defend well and cant shoot from distance. Hes also got character concerns.

You ready to trade 5 first rounders for him?

You are not trading for 2023 Ja, you're trading for the far less ahletic looking version that still can't shoot. This is a Tim Hardaway trade situation. Steve Francis was done by 27/28

I'd do that deal; I don't think Memphis does it, though.

People have this weird belief that because it's Miami and Pat Riley that they can fix anyone or make anyone work into what they want to accomplish. Ja Morant is no doubt a talented player, but he's not who a lot of fans here think he is. I rather hold out in an attempt to trade for a superior player.

Worth a flier for 2-years, ~$86M if the deal is anything like a Ja and KCP for Herro/Rozier.

Why are we acting like a guy who just turned 26 years old is washed up lol? Because he’s had some off the court issues and he’s now beefing with the coach/org? Steve Francis peak would be Jas worst season, come on fellas.

Imo, some of that pushback is less about getting ja and more about losing herro. That's the gamble.

Alot of miami and ja talk (not actual rumors though)

I mean yeah that’s what it is, I just wasn’t going to stir the pot lol. If those scenarios given didn’t include Herro some probably wouldn’t have even posted to address it.
