He's young and I'm sure he can get better by continuous repetition. but that kind of stuff is either you have it or not. you have it in middle school, high school, and you certainly have it as a young NBA player. I don't think he has shooters touch in his DNA. let's be real here

In the past 10 years in the NBA all types of NBA players have taught themselves to shoot 3s at much better level, Brook Lopez was a monster just down low and in the last season in Brooklyn started working and taking 3s and is a solid 3pt shooter now. It takes the individual putting in the time of course and learning to shoot it the correct way either with a trainer or with technology based feedback like NOAH which a number of NBA teams have started using. At this point I would think every NBA team would have some type of shooting technology to give players feedback.

New York as a team shot .337 from 3pt range last year, this year .380.
J.Randle last year 28% from 3, 40% this year.
R.Bullock last year 40% from 3, 43% this year.
RJ Barrett last year 32% from 3 38% this year.
The New York Knicks have become the latest NBA team to install Noah Basketball’s shot tracking system. Noah’s computer vision cameras were placed on six baskets at the MSG Training Center in Tarrytown, N.Y, making the Knicks the most equipped NBA team with Noah Basketball, according to the company.

More than half of NBA teams use Noah, including the Portland Trail Blazers and Toronto Raptors. The WNBA’s Washington Mystics and hundreds of top high school and college basketball teams use Noah, including Virginia.

Thanks for the interesting info P

I've noticed that Knicks players shooting better this szn esp. RJ Barrett. Clippers are shooting 42% from 3 as a team and generally 3 point % is improving around the league EXCEPT FOR THE HEAT P :x :x :x :x FML

It has to be the technology and emphasis on 3 point shooting practices. I mean whenever we see players doing the court work they are just jacking up long balls

The Clippers have had the NOAH system since 2016.
“The Noahlytics system is a huge technology breakthrough from a shooting standpoint,” says LA Clippers Assistant Coach John Welch. “We use it every day and it is making our players better. Practice makes perfect only when you are practicing the right shot. If a player is working on the same shot over and over, but their arc is off, they are going to be running in circles.”

“45 steep and 11 deep is the perfect shot,” said Carter. “Those who can repeat the shot more consistently are the best shooters. With this technology, we are able to leverage collected data to pinpoint why a shot scores or misses and what a player needs to do to improve. This type of data has never been available until now.”

We need to get on this NOAH system P :x FML

Clips have like 7 players shooting over 40% it's just absurd.

I bet we have a NOAH but probably got scammed into buying fraud system P :x

Chicago tried to fix J.Noah's shot without AI, they tied a ping pong paddle to his left hand so he couldn't shoot his normal way, that didn't last long.

The Bulls are using some uncommon tools to try to fix Joakim Noah's unusual shooting stroke. Following Tuesday's first practice of training camp, the rookie from Florida spent some time shooting jumpers while wearing a device resembling a pingpong paddle on his left hand. Bulls trainer Fred Tedeschi helped build the contraption.

when you watch the Clips it does look like they have analytics on their side. So much of their offence is built around bs 3pt shooting it's infuriating but there has to be method to the madness.

Steve Ballmer bought the Clippers in 2014 so it was expected that he'd utilize technology for an advantage once he did his homework.

2018 they started using Analytics for the fan experience with Clippers CourtVision.

Zions shot has come a long way

The resemblance is uncanny but I've never seen Zion display the kind of handles, footwork, triple-threat and stepback action, etc that Cream possesses, much less display it on the Finals stage

Now the media and New Yuckers are using the Wade buying into the Jazz franchise instead of the Heat as an opportunity to slander the Miami Heat organization. And it's going to be something fans are going to believe that the Heat organization worked in bad faith in regards to Wade.

I never liked SAS but to me he lost all credibility when he called the Brooklyn Nets 'racist' for hiring Steve Nash as the head coach as opposed to black candidates, such as Doc Rivers and Tyron Lue.

He didn’t call the Nets racist, that was just your interpretation of his stance on why Nash got hired. That’s all I’m going to say on it because it isnt a topic for this board.

Miami has a stretch where they can possibly go on a 7 game win streak if they play to their potential. This should get them a solid lead as the 4th seedImage

Used to be you just retired someone’s number to show how much they mean to your franchise. Then you gotta build them a statue to separate them from the other people whose numbers are retired. Next is you must sell them a part of your franchise even if it is a family business. Sorry Nick. Your grandfather may have started the Heat, your daddy may run it now....but you gotta split it with Wade and save a piece for Bam  Finally you gotta give personnel control. Who cares if the person running it for the last 25 years is doing a good job.

Its business homie. It is not anything new. Part of attracting the best talent (on the business side and player personal) is not only the salary attraction but the benefits. Especially when the salary has a cap. The reason Wade and Haslem took less money is because they were going to be compensated for the lost outside of the team and after retirement. Having Wade as a global marketing icon for your company raises the value. So You give him a share of ownership and that money is made back buy the increase of the company value. Players around the league sees this is like Jimmy may choose to chase after those benefits as well. This is not anything new in the business world in general. Company's will throw in benefit packages along with salary to attract certain talent. I was offered shares of a company if I agreed to stay 5 plus years.

Getting to at least 5th seed is going to be big, we don't want ot face the Bucks/Nets/Sixers in first round.

I like our chances against Celtics/Hawks/Knicks.

13/14 games left - The Knicks have a bunch of tougher games ahead, Hawks just lost T.young for a few games at least, and we'll face the Celtics 2 more times.

If we get our chit togther and get Dipo back soon - 4th or 5th seed is doable.
