I don’t get it. Can’t even get Beal for a salary dump.

Ya'll can forget about Dame, he ain't leaving. Same story every year. Though the front office will push the usual nonsense to the local smucks about Dame being the true target, which is why they let Beal slip by. Get ready to run it back, again.

Actually after seeing what the Suns gave up, I don't think it was a matter of us lowballing, seems more like Micky ultimately didn't want that albatross of a contract. And I don't blame him.

We’re going after dame but we’ll lose the sweepstakes per usual. Pat can’t seal the deal anymore

Bad cap state for the Heat. They created it themselves with some of these **** up contracts they handed out. Beal would have been another to be honest.

Oh so we do have bad contracts… like Tyler Herro.. im telling you all that was bad cap management not letting him hit the RFA market and seek an offer sheet.. we would be debating whether to match or let go of a 85 million offer sheet.. massive overpay.. goodnluck trying to trade that contract

Draft is 4 days away! Let's make this season a draft party. Play the rooks. Let the vets rest. Win a chip. That's a good enough plan for me.

From all indications they were arguing over draft picks. Not players.

It makes no sens, we couldv'e dumped Duncan in the second move, or traded Maertin, or both...we'd had picks to spare

You kept saying they wanted Herro. That is not what the deal ultimately was. This is not a better deal than what the Heat have been rumored to be offering. I think Beal just wanted PHX more.

In the end....only the Suns owner was dumb enough to take on that Beal contract and the tax bill that comes with it.

That may well be the case however, something tells me that Micky and Pat would prefer to not spend 30-70mil tax bill to pay Tyler to come off the bench if we get Beal and I also think Spo and Pat would like to retain Gabe and Strus who were two guys who were instrumental in our run to the finals.

Herro not only makes it easier to convince a team to give us their cap space it also helps us build a better team around the new additions now while saving Micky 30+mil and potentially saves us from the penalties of the 2nd tax apron through this next build.
