I wouldn't doubt it. I wish we knew what happened with Grant, that would help put the pieces of this puzzle in place. If they signed him to make Dame happy then yeah it was an FU move by Dame to get his friend paid and they would want Grant off the team also since they are rebuilding. Who knows what happened. Maybe they honestly want to keep him, who knows.

Have you not been paying attention? The Blazers were fully aware of the situation. They knew Dame wanted veteran upgrades and instead they drafted his replacement. The Blazers signed Grant to help Dame or to flip him for something at a later date, there was no sabotage by Dame.

You would think he has earned this much from them to say… hey, if we aren’t competitive for real, then can I at least be moved to the team of my choice?

Wade left us as a free agent. We got nothing for him. Lebron left as a free agent… we got nothing for him. Bosh left injured… we got nothing for him. Dame is leaving as a healthy player and is giving you a chance to get some value back. He is also leaving you when his contract begins to get ugly.

This needs to be heard in full context. In his recent pod he also said Philly has made it very clear that Maxey isn't available.

For those saying he's a Heat hater, I promise he's not. In his pod, which is pretty good basketball talk, he doesn't talk about the Heat like let's say Bill or KOC. This is coming from someone who also used to dislike Windy in the Big 3 days.

Bellow in the video is what Windhorst said about Maxey being untouchable, he's saying that's ridiculous but it's what they're saying.

Also, there's a lot of smoke out there and Portland has to look like they're looking for the best deal for the fanbase so when they do send Lillard to Miami they can say they not only got Lillard where he wanted to go, they got the best offer too.

I would give more credit to Spo and the coaches for bailing out FO and being competitive while being handed out GLeague players. But the facts are real, we gave out bad contracts that is not attractive to some teams.
