The Cavs fans reaction imo was worse than the letter itself. Seriously, they burnt his jersey and vomited all that crap about him on TV, and booed the hell out of him when he went back. I don't get how he could think about playing for people who spat so much venom at him. What's to say they don't turn on him again if he can't bring them a ring within a few years?

Exactly. The people that say he should get over the letter need to come down from their ivy tower. Not too many people would go back to someone who publicly said the things Dan Gilbert said in that letter.

He sh** on his home state during a live telecast. He deserved the letter. Some Heat fans are so one sided & detached from reality.

And don't give me the good ole' "don't come to a heat board" sh** excuse

I mean, he got so much hate for The Decision thing it's unbelievable and it just marked him for life. I understand it's one of the most important decisions of his life, but that's exactly why I think he knew what to do before all this even started. He could just tell the world what he's going to do and be done with it, but instead this is shaping to be something similar that made him the most hated athlete in the world back in 2010.

Thats the crazy part.

No one would have hated LeBron for staying in Miami. Or no one would have really hated him for leaving to Cleveland.

But this, long, drawn out free agency...

LeBron...you've known about the Letter for 4 years...if its a problem...then dont consider Cleveland. Stay with Riley and build. The back and forth with Cleveland and Miami.....its old man.

Its worse than The Decision. The Decision's issue was the production of it and not informing his previous owner. If they just made it a 10 to 15 minute segment...it wouldnt have been that big of a deal. If he informed Gilbert he was leaving....Gilbert never writes the letter.

LeBron knows Riley has his back and can build a winner.....but keeping him AND Gilbert on hold is just...ehhh....

Can't forget about Gilbert changing the price on LeBron's fathead to $17.41 -- the year of Benedict Arnold's birth.

He did that??? Wow, way to burn the bridges

Some heat fans? There is nobody outside of Cleveland who thinks the letter was ok

Probably not as much as the way the Cavs FO sh** on him during his entire time there. Sure, he could have handled it better, but the Cavs reaction was far worse than The Decision

What Lebron needs to do is commit long term to a quality organization that has delivered each and every season he's been here. He left the Cavs because it was a ship of fools captained by a moron, and they weren't getting the job done. The Heat have. There is no sound reason to believe that they will not continue to do so.

Lebron needs to decide whether he wants to build something, or be a mercenary.

In a perfect world or a perfect situation, I would agree and that would be my first thought. But this is not a perfect situation and if this is all we can get for RIGHT NOW, i'd take the 2 years, wouldn't YOU?.

I would, but I'd start planning my life without him the day after he signs.

By all means keep up with that perspective. It's petty fools like you that may keep LeBron in Miami

If he doesn't sign with them they'll be just as bad this time and they'll blame him for it again.

Look at how pathetic they are lining up at his house. Not just a handful of idiots either :nonono:

Can someone tweet it to Panthro aka Mo Williams ? :D

I wish I understood why that is funny.

"Bron had me blinded man. He wins you over completely. He makes you feel like you're his best friend. He'll party with you, train with you, dance on the sideline with you... Look, growing up I was obsessed with the Thundercats. Bron found out and he had this artist make me a painting where it was me playing basketball, but I looked like Panthro. He would call me Panthro all the time, and I called him Lion-O. We used to joke about how Dwight (Howard, then their nemesis with the Orlando Magic) was Mumm-Ra." I ask Williams where that painting is now, and he crumbles his napkin and tosses it over his shoulder, then shrugs. "I couldn't get Bron to pick up my calls for a week after 'The Decision,' so finally I just sent him a text, I just said, Lion-O would never leave Panthro out in the cold. Two days later I get a text back that says I'm a basketball player and a businessman, not a Thundercat. But that's how he is... That's who he is. He makes you feel like a million bucks and then steps over you like a bad penny on his way out the door."

Sauces : ask Chris Broussard i have no time for that !

I see.

OK if true, isn't this evidence enough that there is no real remorse on the Cavs' part? Talk about a lack of self-awareness.

Yes, but I think it's a sad state of affairs that LeBron does not want to be in Miami. It makes no sense.
