13 reb and 3 blks sounds about right, but I don't think he'll get to 17 ppg. Unless he really improves his FT shooting. With Wade, Bosh and Dragic, I see him getting around 10-11 shots a game and making about 6 of them. He should get to the line for 5-6 FTs, but if he only makes half of them like last year, he'll be in the 14-15 ppg range. If he can get up to 70+% on FTs I could see him getting to 17 ppg.

He will be better than 50 % at the line. Last season, he shot a lot of them with a messed up hand.

I think his rebounds can go as high as 15. Bosh will be more than happy to give up a few boards if it means he can conserve energy for the offensive end. I expect Bosh's rebounds to be a career low this year with our bolstered front line.

Sadly, I don't he will get anywhere close to 17ppg.

Maybe 12-13ppg, we have too many scorers on this team. I mean Wade/Bosh/Dragic/Deng in the starting lineup with Green and Stat off the bench.

If he can shoot higher than 60% from the line then I think at least 15 ppg is plausible

That's 16 million per year. Whiteside at most will be eligible for 19 million per year for four years. He'll probably sign for 1-2 million less per year or something.

His max is actually around 22 million.

Huh? When did that change? He's only eligible for a certain percentage of cap and no one owns his rights.

He can earn up to 25% which comes out to about $22.5mill.

With the NBA’s salary cap projected to rise to about $89 million next July (up from the current $70 million), Whiteside can earn a maximum of 25 percent of the cap, putting him just north of a deal starting at $22 million in Year 1. With the amount of cash teams will be swimming in as the cap surges to new heights, it wouldn’t be outlandish to expect Whiteside to command that max figure or close to it.

Wow, I didn't realize Whiteside's max number would be so high :o

I could've sworn I read somewhere that there is hypothetically room for maxing out both Whiteside plus another top free agent, but I don't see how that works out with Bosh/Dragic already on the books and Wade's big cap hold. That doesn't even consider some of the smaller contracts like Winslow, McRoberts, etc...

In theory we could free up around $45mill in cap space if we dumped McBob so lets lay Whiteside gets $20mill flat that leaves $25mill for Wade and somebody else. If that somebody else is Durant than Wade would presumably take a big pay cut to accommodate. With that said Riley isn't going to mortgage our future for Wade. While its true that Wade has a huge cap hold all you have to do is relinquish his bird rights and his cap hold disappears.

We'll see what happens though. From what one of our users said (I believe it was Twix) The heat won't choose Hassan over Durant so if it came between signing one and letting the other go we'd go Durant all day.

Here's Ira again talking about Hassan as a trade chip for Durant.
