Hassan will have many more chances to win DPOTY in the future. The biggest hurdle is being a part of a good team. We only won 48 games, regardless of impact he wasn't going to get it over Green and Kawhi who both played on much better squads.

If we finish with a top 2 seed next season and he's still leading the league in block he'll have a legit chance at the award. I hope he at least makes first team all defense.

The league is trying to take big men out of equation by tweenies jacking up 3s.. Hassan is proving that bigs are still effective and can dominate :rock:

I agree that we will need more wins, but Kawhi is the best defensive player on the best defense team (PPG allowed).. that's pretty convincing in voters eyes. We will need to pick it up a notch defensively as a team for Hassan to have a chance next year or beyond.

Marc Gasol won it over LeBron in 2013 mainly because Memphis was the best defensive team (again PPG allowed..).. it seems like they have been consistent with the criteria...

After the 2014 playoffs, Wade was getting extremely underrated, even by Heat fans to the point it was getting ridiculous. Anyone whoever questioned the talent of a healthy Wade in the postseason, has a serious case of amnesia. Wade is STILL the most talented offensive player on this team when everyone is geared and focused. JJ is second. Bosh is 3rd.
