I’m assuming the fact Spo was gonna start Nunn was why he blew up. Perhaps also with Herro taking his bench role, the combination of the two being the “writing on the wall”.

You are giving Waiters way too much credit.

Very weird. Suspension is over yet he won't be travelling to these next two road games?

This is exactly what I predicted, which makes sense, given my role as expert predictor.

Ready for another? We aren't trading Waiters (nor James Johnson) soon. The Miami Heat are not panicking about Mion's tantrum. They will wait for him to show some humility (fat chance, right?) and give him another opportunity. James Johnson may be back sooner.

He literally talked about Spo and our championships. He’s gone for sure..

Soooo....JJ's wife is doing her best to make sure JJ gets put in the substance abuse program:

Not sure if he's had a violation in the past, but this a fast road to the NBA checks being put on pause due to a suspension. I know many of us think he's overpaid, but there's no excuse for this level of stupidity. I've smoked the stickiest of icky, and still go through periods of 'round the clock haze, but I've never one in my life thought about sharing video or even pictures of myself blazed. Just how dumb do you have to be?

Knock, knock.
Who's there?
The piss man.
Oh ****!

His contract has a bonus for playing like 72 games yeah? I'd be pissed if I were him. Although I spose it was a giant stretch from the get go. Like what are the odds that without suspension he plays 72?

I think the writing on wall comment was the drafting of Herro and the ultumative the Heat gave Waiters at the end of the season. Since Waiters made it known he will not accept a reserve role. The options were be a star of a trade chip.

Pat and Spo need to sit down with Waiters and say. Look we will trade you if that is what you want. But you have no trade value. Be cool, we will give you minutes play well, be cool and you will have value when trade talks pickup league wide in December

If Winslow can at least average 4 fastbreak points a game he can sustain a high level of play.Image

Here is where Bam still needs to badly needs to improve. He needs to quickly recognize when the defender is giving him space on the perimeter but clogging the paint. Herro and Nunn provided spacing with their defender. Winslow defender is going to cheat off of him and help protect paint. Bam has 3 options, take the jumper which he does and misses, penetrate right draw Winslow defender kick it out to Winslow or step back and take a 3. If he can't accomplished either 3, teams are gonna continue to clog the paint on him.

He gotta improve in this area, it will make him one more step closer to becoming a star. Especially playoff time, teams are gonna play him this way.

Interesting notes to game one

MIami Pace in game one 116 possessions. Last year average 101.7 possessions
Miami Turnovers in game one 21. Last year average 14.7 turnovers
Miami FGA in game one 85. Last year average 88 FGA
Miami Fastbreaks points in game one 12 pts. Last year average 9.9 fastbreak pts

Have to watch the game again, but I believe much of the turnovers where on fastbreaks.

Here’s more background on what we’ve been told on the Waiters situation: During the preseason game against Houston last Friday, Waiters was complaining aloud about Erik Spoelstra and not getting a chance to play more, clearly within earshot of coaches and players.

And besides his behavior on the bench, a source with direct knowledge said Waiters also did not agree to do one mandatory weigh-in last week, angering Heat officials.

One Heat basketball person in regular contact with Pat Riley described the team president as visibly angry in the aftermath of the James Johnson and Dion Waiters conditioning shortcomings and Waiters’ “unprofessional” behavior.

All that can be forgiven. I think JJ will be ok. But like Whiteside, I do not believe Waiters will not come down on his demands.

The Heat need JJ, not Waiters. But this might have gotten too bad. Might have to try and make a move for Iggy. I would at least try to get Ibaka.

I have to agree with Riley on Dion/JJ. Riley gave them great long term contracts. It's not asking a lot for JJ to be in good shape & Waiters acting like a professional. They owe Riley, Spo, teammates & fans a lot more than what they have given. JMHO

I’d love to be proven wrong but JJ just comes off as one of those machiavellian types thats tells you what you want to hear without actually changing anything.
