That's another reason I'm so hyped about AD. He's very attainable. We have a much better team from top to bottom than the Lakers (minus Father Time-aka Lebron). I have to think AD will take a long look at a 36 year old Lebron/Lakers and have 2nd thoughts.

Yeah we don't want to become the South Florida Washington Wizards in 2021. But I'd like to keep my options open instead of going for an iPad with a replaced screen. I'm with Wilts I just don't know if the OS inside is still fully functional. None of us could have possibly predicted that we'd be watching NBA playoffs with avatar audience in the middle of August. NBA is in the middle of great uncertainty just like the ROW and with that comes with some opportunities to exploit imo. If a big fish cannot be obtained, it might not be unwise to sit and wait for others to shamble. We also don't need to be so desperate to get rid of 20th pick in this lukewarm draft. I hate to be conservative because I'm really not, but I feel that we're literally one legit piece away. We gotta nail it OP. In the meantime the team is pretty young, solid, and room to grow, and Butler should have 2-3 elite years left after this szn.

I think there's a very real chance it happens. Davis has been very noncommittal as to what he will do after this year. Nothing brings more fame to your name and proceeds to your pocket than winning it all. This Heat team has to look extremely good to a star player. It's perfectly suited for AD.

He’s an Unrestricted Free Agent at years end. So can choose his own destiny.

I don’t doubt Riley will go star hunting. But it depends on whether we want to try bring forward our timeline to 2020 rather than 2021.

You can bet Pat will want the opportunity to present to AD. We’ll see what happens. I’m not really that expectant or hopeful though.

Anyone have any projections for the game? I think it’s going to be tough. Pacers might pull it off due to fight for their playoff lives on the line. If Heat wins, it will show they have that instinct to put teams away when it counts.

Oladipo on a bargain deal is very enticing because of how well he will fit. Our biggest weakness defensively has been having a good point of attack perimeter guard defender. I have maintained that that has been the main cause of our season struggles with rim protection--it's the result of quick penetrators getting into the paint with ease on us and breaking down the D. Oladipo is an elite on-ball perimeter defender.

A PG who can defend the point of attack on the perimeter on defense and contribute on offense by getting into the paint and hitting some 3 balls is literally the perfect skillset complement to our guys.

IDK if Oladipo has it in him to return to form completely, but I do know his skillset fits us perfectly and trading for him and giving him a year to earn a bigger contract is a great situation.

The defensive playmaking of Oladipo-Butler-Bam on the floor together would be pretty epic
