Ya….90 mil across 5 years for Duncan, not 2/3 years. And yes, because jimmy butler has regressed so tremendously from 3, it is even more important to keep elite shooters like Duncan.

It will be interesting to hear the talk on this board about Robinson's contract in a 1-2 seasons, let alone 3-4 seasons down the road.

Sounds like you need to start a new anti-Duncan thread. What I was talking about is how we need our "star" players in Butler and Bam to play like it, or nothing else matters.

Butler had his best season last year but stunk in one playoff series, without Butler this team would have been one of the worst in the league(like they were when Butler was out), so Miami decides to give Robinson 90 mil over 5 years even though we all saw how bad this team was with him and Bam healthy and Butler was out. Good god, without Butler Miami gets swept in the finals last year, he willed this team to 2 wins. Robinson wasn't hurt

BTW... Robinson dropped 11.7 and 10.3 ppg the last 2 playoffs. He put up 75 points in 6 finals games... 90 million! I kinda think who you put around your top players matter.

To be fair Butler was dropping 13 points and looked like a homeless version of Simmons, minus the defense and playmaking. Everyone looked like trash and I say that in the nicest way. I’m not sure this off-season is going well but it’s still not over.

So Riley rescinded Nunn's QO on his birthday? Gangsta.

So question, how many veteran minimums can we afford before crossing into luxury tax now that we pulled the QO for Nunn? Because as has been pointed out they are going to pay the luxury without a good shot of taking the whole thing. And that doesn't seem to be where we are this year.

Glad we can help Arison recoup some of those Carnival losses from COVID by avoiding the luxury tax.

Luckily the Heat had 2 guys with Butler in that playoff round that they believed is worth the max and 90 million, you would think they could pick up some of the slack. Bam is a defensive guy, I get that he needs certain matchups, but Robinson... he's a luxury, Miami could have went out and gotten 2-3 good 3pt shooters for Robinson's amount and they possibly could do more then just shoot 3s.

Millsap is 36 years old so he seems to be the right age.

Although I'd swear that he's been around longer than that.

Strange that we let Nunn go. I'm curious where we go from here. Kelly Oubre is an intriguing Derozen consulation to me.

Would also take Morris.

Curious to see what happens with the PGs left in free agency. Cam Payne, Reggie Jackson, Lou Williams and Elfrid Payton still out there.

There is optimism and then we have reality. We don’t have desirable assets, our best trade asset is Herro who will be back up to our new 90 mil signing. Again we have optimism and then we have reality.
