Bam Simmons everyone, Heck of a passer and defensive player but don't ask for a lick more.

Name every player in the league giving you 19-10-4 while being arguably the best defender in the world

Same could have been said about Simmons no? All-defensive team, great passer, guards anybody 1-5 but when you need points Ben refuses to shoot, Bam refuses to even look at the rim unless there is no one on his way to the basket.

Don't get me wrong Bam is not trash. What makes me frustrated is that there is no reason he shouldn't be better on the offensive end. He has the tools, he has the skills. So either the team doesn't want him scoring or he simply doesn't have it in him. Either way when you have a big three, one of your 3 can't be a guy afraid of taking a PG on a 1 v 1 to the basket. You punish that every single time until they start bringing help. Then you go into your bag and whip out the passing and everything else.

When is Simmons guarding 5s or playing big? How are his screens and rebounding?

Hey friend!! Simmons is actually good at screens and rebounding. Can defend smaller 5s decent enough. Guys like Jokic, Giannis, Embiid are gonna kill him though.

I don't really post during the season. The game threads are too toxic once things aren't going perfect.

Lakers are so dumb.

when you are trying to dump Westbrook, you beg for it and grovel over, you don't get to be picky.

I think the offseason is basically over for us. Bring back caleb, start oladipo. Dont add any additional bad contracts to the team unless theyre one year deals.

If utah’s season goes down that lottery hole, which has a strong chance to happen, i can see mitchell requesting a trade before the deadline and we could try to explore that option again..

Unfortunately as i predicted we would do nothing. And that team in the ECF minus tucker will start the season. Even if we brought tucker, thats not a good thing.

Watchout has always been a liar. He guessed 1 thing right and been posting based on that since then. Dalembert was a done deal, Kenyon Martin.. he drops that are already reported in hope they turn out right and once every 10 times if you use some common sense you will be right. Last offseason I could have come in here and said I can confirm Lowry is a done deal and all of you would have thought I had sources, even though it was the most obvious turnout and we'd been in the mix for him for some time.

As for ICC, he said PJ rumors were just smoke. PJ was 1 of the first free agents to sign after several reports confirmed it was a done deal. You think Miami FO had zero idea even though several insiders were reporting it? We either think the FO is really smart or really stupid... while you decide on that, just know that the 1 certain thing none of these people know a thing. Woj knew every pick in the league except for ours yet you're going to believe an anonymous poster that has contradicted himself on the basic CBA rules as well as being wrong on several other things? LOL

So Simmons is really a 1-4 defender, when he doesn't have a broken back.

Defending "1-5" is becoming a BS narrative people pump about defenders when it's only true for a small handful of players in the league (and Marcus Smart is really NOT one of them).

Further on simmons, he hasn't proven to have much of an appetite to do much big man work, which is part of the problem with him (among many other things). Just as a basis of comparison, in Simmons last healthy season he averaged 1.6 screen assists per game (compared to 4.7 for Bam in that same season). Part of that is role, but I'm VERY suspect of Simmons suddenly becoming an ego-less team player taking on the brunt of the big man work on a team.

I honestly feel Smart is overrated as a defender.

So this was all just a 'ploy' by Durant/Kyrie and the Nets to ensure that other contenders don't sign key free agent pieces.

LMAO well played.

Might be time to wave the white flag and pivot to finding a starting 4

Return to Miami Heat
