Without Jimmy, our other building blocks (if you can call them that) are exposed for their limitations.

And for all the gripes about lack of size, not having a clear cut lead PG is our worst issue by far. Can't have Herro be the primary ball handler on every possession and Rozier has tunnel vision. Not a good backcourt combination at all.

What if he walks right back into his last option year because the market isn’t what he thought it was. Players change their minds. See Harden and all his tough talk. He did basically hold out until he was finally dealt but this isn’t just a case of Butler walking freely to a team with cap space if he never opts out. He has until right before free agency to decide and could even extend it if need be.
