When the Heat lost Zo, I adopted the Grizz as my team to watch. This is the team that Jerry West built and came oh so close to drafting Lebron James.

Wouldve been a bad bunch.

Wow, was that Pau Gasol's second year?
Many Heat "greats" I see, lol.
Mike Miller, Shane Battier, and White Chocolate!

Wow, I forgot about the Memphis pick that year was #1 protected. And they got #2 in the loaded draft and had to give it away to Detroit! Devastating

Yes. When the card was flipped over at the lottery and it had the Grizz logo on it, not only did they lose out on James and a potential dynasty, they also lost the pick to Detroit. Detroit then blew it by selecting Darko and effectively ending their chances at a dynasty.

They would have drafted Carmelo Anthony, so how devastating was it really?

Carmelo wasn’t a bad player. You put him on that Grizz squad in the right system and he could have done some great things.

Crazy. Good memory DoM.

Memphis, of course, is a division rival of a team in which a certain ex-heat mod was a fan of. There is only one man who can be blamed for this disaster DoM.

Former NBA Guard Malik Beasley Evicted From Luxury Apartment Amid Federal Gambling Probe oof :o

Not to defend Beasley because he screwed himself over with his addictions..

But i also give a lot of blame to the leagues who are promoting gambling at the highest of levels. His story has been repeated dozens of times across premier league, tennis, baseball, nfl, nba, etc… you tempt the players with gambling by promoting it just about everyway possible, it is literally in their face and in their power to influence winning or losing..

There are player props of whether the first pitch will be thrown as a ball or a strike at a specific in inning

The leagues dont need the money from these major sportsbook, theyre making multi billions per season from the media deals alone, but theyre in bed with the sportsbooks

I mention before on about teams do not practice as much as you think. This is why I try to explain that young players on the active roster do not develop during the regular season. Here is Steve Kerr and Battier talking about the little practice time during the regular season.

Then ...

"In 2019, Kawhi Leonard's uncle and advisor, Dennis Robertson ("Uncle Dennis"), reportedly made illegal requests for benefits during Leonard's free-agency meetings with the Lakers and Raptors. The NBA investigated these claims but found no evidence that the team Leonard ultimately signed with, the Clippers, granted any of the improper requests."

and now ...

"Kawhi Leonard reportedly paid $28 million for 'no-show job' with Clippers as way to get around NBA salary cap."

So I wouldn't even be surprised if Ballmer goes unscathed because he has more resources than the whole NBA, and if he gets taken down he might try to bring down everyone else with him.

Ohhh man I wouldn't want to be Adam Silver right now because someone knows where the bodies are buried and they could allllll get unearthed now.

There might be a sweeping federal probe on the way...didn't Harden take a pay cut too? Oh man...Paul George? Man...I got my popcorn ready

Yea, it could possibly be a terrible situation for Silver, but if you want to make a change to something, you have to start somewhere. Obviously he wouldn't want to start with a guy that has enough money, power and influence to go against him and the rest of the league and win, but you get my point, can't really choose the one that starts it.
