Duncan is regressing. He has to get himself out of this funk. The only way to do so is go on a shooting binge workout by himself locked up in the gym. At least 1000 shot a day until it becomes automatic again

Nah, he wants to be in Miami, if anything he's going to push to get more help while Bam is out.

I would bet a good amount that he’s making a majority of his shots in shootarounds/practice etc. it’s in the game where the changes have to happen.

This is a bit disrespectful to Jimmy and who he is. One player being injured isn’t going to make someone like Jimmy give up on a whole franchise. C’mon now

I think we may have to let Marcus Garrett walk and sign a C/PF with the two way. Our front court is as sad as it gets. Will suck to lose Garrett but the emergence of Martin and Dipo on the horizon makes him expendable for a big. Could always offer Garrett a Skyforce contract.

Its not about making them in your workouts. Its when the mechanics become instintual again. He needs to be shooting to get his muscle memory to become something it does without thinking. You can see it in the game, he pauses and floats forward or sideways when he shoots. He is not shooting with muscle memory or instinct. He is aiming at the rim. When you are an elite shooter you know your shot is going in because you feel your body make all the right motion.twozeroMM wrote:twix2500 wrote:Duncan is regressing. If you ever listen to Ray or Curry they talk about body mechanics. When they are practicing that is their main focus.
I have a feeling he tried to add parts to his game like some 2 point shots and it may have changed his routine

If you guys didn't notice, in 31 minutes Dedmon(the only legit size vet center on the roster) was +2, that means without Dedmon in the game Miami was -28 in 17 minutes. The answer to getting by with Bam out is acquiring another legit sized vet center. I'm not saying it's going to make Miami good again with Bam out but it's becoming more and more apparent last year and this year that a legit sized vet center does WELL on this current roster.
I don't get how nobody has noticed this.
Dedmon in nearly 31 minutes, 13 reb, 3 ast, 1 stl, 2 blks +2 for a VET MINIMUM CENTER.
Just add another legit 7 foot decent vet center to share the time with Dedmon during this time without Bam.

He didn't give up in Chicago when Hoiberg allowed the young players to dance on the sidelines while Chicago was in the middle of a game fighting to get into the playoffs.

The point is without Bam and Butler, Miami was competitive with a legit decent big on the court. Without him they were horrific. It seems to point towards the FO needing to figure out how to add a legit vet center to the roster while Bam is out the next 2 months. Can they get someone who has legit size and is just decent to backup up a backup center for someone like KZ?

i dont even know wtf you are talking about. They are not going to get another center. They have no cap room. They have Yurtseven. They are not going into the tax for a player Spo won't even play.

Yurtseven is skilled but doesn't know the NBA, nor is he use to the speed of the game, doesn't know where to go or how to position himself based on what the other team is doing, maybe later in the year but for now, they need to find someone till Yurtseven is ready. They can trade KZ for someone near KZ's price which is something I posted earlier tonight, they can also sweeten the deal by sending cash since a 2nd rounder isn't really available to trade.
The answer for Bam's injury isn't on the roster currently.

A team looking to dump a small multiyear contract or someone looking to get some cash out of a player they don't really need at around the league minimum? The other current option would be to move Herro. December 15th other players that were signed this offseason become available to move. Jan 15th Duncan is available to be moved but by that time Bam should be close to coming back.
