MettaWorldPanda wrote:Riley has lost his way putting together this terrible roster and thinking 20 games in is going to do the trick. His value of Duncan is also completely senile. Of course it's going to take a pick to ship him out but he's so stubborn he doesn't want to admit that signing him was a mistake and nobody in the NBA is going to want some flash in the pan we decided to over pay without compensation. The only solace is that we have our pick this year but in the process we have way too many good players in the building and zero effort from the from office to fix the glaring weakness and only blaming the players is a good way to destroy any good culture equity that's been built up. I feel really bad for some of the players on this team and the immense pressure the front office is putting on them to overcome there mishaps. Riley for one who has always had a great history of building his teams around solid rebounding and defensive PF's succumbed to the pressure of going smaller and thinking it was a great idea to bring back Caleb Martin as a PF. Knowing you already had a undersized Center. Just doesn't make any sense at all.

I think it’s safe to say what I’ve been thinking for a few years now, Pat Riley is WASHED! Prove me wrong and do something Riley! Right now Chris Grier is **** on you and showing you how to make elite trades, don’t be scared to do the same!

They were hoping not to be here but it seems like its not healing correctly or too weak the way its currently stands. This could ultimately end up being a progressively bad over time and keep him off the floor in the coming years if its not fixed.

Dipo may not be ready until after christmas with rumblings of maybe even longer. There is substantial swelling on his other knee and they are afraid if they push Dipo to early it could lead to a tear. His muscles have gotten stronger through the off season from all the strength training and repetitive on court work but he does have an issue with his tendons/cartilage degrading which they are afraid another tear could be imminent with some of the swelling he keeps getting on his other knee during the offseason and the first game in preseason. Dipo could find himself in retirement by the end of the year, and right now he is trying to stay positive but the dude is in a bad place with more degenerative issues continuing to keep him off the basketball floor.

Victor McRoberts smh.

I hope we don't trade our first round pick to get rid of bad contracts or get an above average player. This should only be for a superstar. Our first round pick looks pretty valuable and there's a great draft class.

Never was a huge fan of Dipo but glad he was such a fan of the Heat org. Hope he can get his body stabilized so he can enjoy the rest of his life.

Pondering how can a three way trade involving Westbrook, Mike Conley, Vanderbilt, Lowry can happen. Which would get Miami Conley and Vanderbilt.

As he should really. I love Pat. He's really made this franchise something special.

However, everyone makes mistakes. It's hard for me to look at many moves he's made since the superb acquisition of Butler as being quality.

A few different choices and maybe we have a chip during the Butler era. As of now, it looks like we might be best getting rid of all our bloated contracts and reset our team around Bam and Herro.

They’re going to have to make a decision thats for sure, not moving any of these contracts basically means punting the season. At this point we haven’t even brought back the “same” team as last year since one of the reserves who was supposed to be a key cog has yet to suit up. It makes the collective team performance in the playoffs last year that much more disappointing, that may have been our best shot with this core as constructed and unfortunately they wasted all time performances from Jimmy.

Wait, we don’t even have our draft pick this summer?! Clippers have it in the Jimmy trade apparently. I forgot that

If Heat can't get Durant I think we owe it to Jimmi to send him to BK to team up w Kyrie and Durant.

If Pat can't take the Heat he knows to get out of the kitchen.

We could send them Jimmy for Ben and picks. I mean, we love guys who can handle the ball, play defense and not shoot.

Also, other options like multiple team trades

Now trade Kyrie for Westbrook and a 1st and trade us KD and Royce. Clean house and start over.

Not if they land Ime Udoka. They're gonna make noise with a competent head coach. Trouble aside.

It seems like only a month ago that he got suspended for sexual harassment. Is his punishment over already?

The Nets and the NBA would have some serious explaining to do.

Yeah, I'm kinda shocked that teams are so willing to jump right in when the investigation itself doesn't seem to be complete.

Doesn't send a great message to victims of sexual harassment in the workplace - go on gardening leave for a couple months, come back to a well paid job?

tbf it was a consensual affair, not sexual harassment. That's probably why he got picked up so fast and why that guy on the Spurs on the other hand might have to sit down for a long time.

The more I look into it. Mike Conley and Vanderbilt, may be the right target.

Conley can handle the ball and run offense, smart , plays defense and can shoot and cann shoot corner treys.

Would be a good trade for us, IMO. Although it depends on the kind of draft capital we need to include.

Maybe something like:

Kyle Lowry (2yrs, $28.3m per)
Duncan Robinson (4yrs, $16.9m per)
Omer Yurtseven (2yrs, $1.7m per)
2022 First Round Pick (lottery protected)

for

Mike Conley (2yrs, $22.8m per)
Jarred Vanderbilt (2yrs, $4.0m per)
Kelly Olynyk (3yrs, $12.1m per)

I presume we'd need to include a FRP to dump Duncan.

Conley / Vincent
Herro / Oladipo?
Butler / Strus
Olynyk / Martin / Jovic
Adebayo / Vanderbilt

You just know Spo wants to roll Vanderbilt at the 5....but he could mix and match with Bam and KO lineups atleast...
