Asset management is crucial, trying to join an Ice speed skating competition wearing old Vans and no skates is what Miami is trying to do. The little we have need too much attached to be worth going in on, Unless they want to completely drain all picks for small trade that may not get us over the hump.

Well we just saw Bojan and Burks sent out for an expiring, a young player, and 3 2nds. We’ve burned 3 seconds in the last year salary dumping Dipo and Dedmon. This FO sucks, I’m sorry but they do. Let’s see if they prove me wrong

I really don't believe we went after him.

He was very attainable.

Don't be blinded by the fact that Duncan is our only true viable trade match contract that nobody really wants unless they are getting assets back in return.

I don’t think Duncan’s being shopped. They love his play this season. It’s been the minimums and maybe gauging the market for Caleb.

Hopefully I’m wrong and they do something and bring like 2 nice rotational pieces like DSJ/Oneale in here or something but that’s the feeling I have

I think it's painfully obvious that one needs to trade VALUE to get value in return. We are walking around trying to trade Duncan and his 18 mil salary as "Value" and are getting that door slammed in our face.

You can't Blame the Knicks for going all in for this, their team is strong and Philly just lost their bigman. Milwaukee is still a paper tiger with their point of attack defense, and Miami has a one year older Jimmy with a bunch of titos that don't fit. The only team that they feel will be there in the Eastern Conference are the celts. Yeah good on New York smelling blood and going all in.

If Duncan isn't being shopped your not getting much with a Caleb Martin, and some broken Dru SMith/Thomas Bryant going fishing. Outside of that there are no other contracts to move around they would be willing to touch. Doubtful they would attach Jovic unless its a significant trade that requires a FRP so theyll use him instead.

I never understand how people seem to think if a player gets hot it defaults to this is who he is now when we have a history of what a player really is...

I'm open to the fact he has to be in the flow of the game since his minutes dropped in 2024 by 5-10 minutes a game, but if that's the case to really utilize him properly there has to be people moved or benched to make more minutes for him but that's also risky.
