The panic here is funny to watch, carry on. I *will* join if he takes a meeting with the Cavs after meeting with Riley. Other than that, the Cavs are doing their best to lure LeBron. Took down the letter and creating a max slot. That was expected.

You must be joking. It makes a ton of sense. They have a great young core and assets to trade for anybody in the NBA, including Love. I mean, i understand you guys not liking this if it happens, but it makes a ton of sense from a basketball standpoint.

They don't currently have the players to compete for a title in the next 2 seasons.

The things that are keeping my hopes up a little are:

1. Would he really go back to Cleveland to make a ton of money for Dan Gilbert? That open letter was pathetic and the fact it was up on the website until a few days ago says that Gilbert was proud of it. Hard to believe LeBron would want to work for him again.

2. Would he really commit to go back to a team he hasn't personally met with and whose coach has no NBA experience and whom he hasn't met? I think LeBron has an acute sense of how important the GM and HC pieces are and I find it hard to believe he'd entrust his future and legacy to unknown quantities like that.

3. Would he really have asked or encouraged Wade, Bopsh and Haslem to opt out if he was seriously thinking about leaving?

4. Would he have been partying and working out with Wade in Vegas just a day or two ago if he was planning on leaving?

Lebron met with the cavs already. He had to have.

Maybe when he went up there to watch big z that big tall ****.

Whatever the case may be this is downright dirty. Whichever way this goes.

Kyrie is injury prone.
Wiggins has yet 2 play a game.
Thompson is a fatty.
Waiters a chucker.
Owner a moron
Rookie coach.

Love? He's still with Minny.

It makes no sense for them to pursue Ray Allen unless they know LeBron is coming. He's made it clear that he has two options: retirement, or piggy backing LeBron where ever he goes. Doesn't even make sense from a basketball standpoint for them to target Ray with a SG like Dion Waiters already on board. That's a let's attract LeBron some more move.

And how shameful is it on Ray Allen's part as well if he follows.... after the history between BOS/MIA and BOS/CLE for him to end up on both teams in the span of 3 years.

If his wife is demanding to go back. He will go back.

I bet this new baby is swaying him. He values some stuff more than basketball.

I assuming he will spin this as being all about family. Family this and that. Which is fine in my book.

Can everyone here please save their scorn until after he makes his decision and if then and only then he does actually leave Miami, not act so bitter. You guys are ready to go full Cleveland mode.

If he leaves it's not the end of the world. Miami will still have a competitive team in a few years after a rebuild and we should still be thankful for a great run. Riley will still take care of Wade, Haslem and Bosh regardless of what Lebron does.

Right now it does not. However Cavs wanted to trade the #1 pick for Love and Love said he would not resign there. Well you have to think if James signs with the Cavs then Love will change is tune.

A Love/Wiggins trade could be in the works.

Dont the cavs have enough assets to get Love without trading Wiggins? As a Celtics fan can you please explain what Ainge is doing here. I thought he was still pushing hard for Love and this move seems to help another team's chances of landing him.

Love for Wiggins does not work straight up because of the salaries. However you add in Varejao and a Varejao/wiggins trade does work. (or at least it does in the real GM trade checker)

Ainge was trying to get Love but the celtics cleary don't have the assets that Flip wants. The Love to Boston ship has sailed and Ainge has moved on. Think about it: If Flip lands Wiggins for Love it is a win win for both teams. Cavs get a star player and minny gets a young player to build around.

As for Ainges motive: he does get another first round pick from the cavs (one has to believe that there is no way the cavs give up a first unless they are 100% sure Lebron is coming or maybe it is top 10 protected or whatever) gets a prospet in Zeller. The celtics will also have 33m coming off the books for 2015 my guess is that Ainge is hoping to land a big FA next summer. Or he could be flat out trying to stick it to the heat and Pat Riley.

Oh and now I'm a LeBron basher because I'm speaking the truth about the guy. What have I called him other than disloyal, really? Isn't that well known about him?

And I stated that I'm going to root against him. Why the hell would any Heat fan in their right mind root FOR him? It's not like we're giving him our blessing to leave a bad team after serving his duties to the franchise so many years to hop onto a contender and win before it's all said and done. This isn't a Paul Pierce situation. It's QUITTING. Period.

I agree that this young core will be ready to flourish in 2-3 seasons. You think this core even with LeBron is ready to win a title with none of their players except for Verajao having played in the playoffs and the pressure situations? If he goes to Cleveland, so be it but I genuinely don't agree that this core is ready to win a title next year.

Pat Riley was right, get a grip you guys.
I feel like I'm living in some parallel universe where the Heat are not a proven champion franchise and the Cavs are not a perennial joke.

I'm not sure that's true and even if it is, I think they could get those pieces pretty easily. But as respected internationally as Blatt is, he has no NBA experience and other successful coaches at other levels have not necessarily see the same success in the NBA. Not sure LBron would put his career and legacy in the hands of such an unknown quantity. Spo was a bit of an unknown quantity in 2010, but people he respected (Wade and Riley) vouched for Spo. There's really nobody to vouch for Blatt, or Griffin for that matter.
