Before anyone reads this posts and reacts to it, Jennings didnt say JJ was retiring. He asked a question that was based on the earlier report that he was considering retiring after the season.

James Jones was on the radio after the Heat won and said he wasn't retiring but that when he does he'll retire a Heat. This was in the past week...unless he changed his mind :)

I think he more meant that the only way he'd retire is if we waived him or amnestied him or traded him. He doesn't want to do anything in his career but play for this team and win championships.

Crazy to have guys like this on this team that are that loyal.

Remember last year he basically took a huge paycut to come back even though he knew he'd probably not be in the rotation. Really lucky to have guys like this on the team.

Ray is absolutely in...110% in...we just need to deal with the dog and pony show. But he wants to win another ring and out of his suitors, the Heat give him his only shot. Mark my words...Boston WILL NOT make the playoffs this year, the Sixers are sorry and so aren't the Bricks both however are better teams and could offer Ray more. The Nets if they get Dwight will win the Atlantic and then get out classed by D-Wade, Bosh, and the Greatest Player of all time, LeBron James. Ray if he is smart is in, I can't wait to watch him shoot jumpers at the AAA for us instead of against us, its going to be awesome. What number will Ray wear though? Is he going back to his #34 or is he going to stay with #20?

@mcten: Jordan Hill is in South Carolina w/ family and will indeed meet with Minnesota on Monday. Other teams to express interest: ORL, GSW, MIA

Hear me out, Boston at the ASB was a .500 team...they are a year older and a year slower and if Ray comes to South Beach they have no one to start at PF and SG (Bradley is unproven and I personally think he's overrated)...KG isn't going to play like he did in the playoffs...7 seed AT BEST.

7th seed at best huh, great so that means we'll face them in the first round. :lol: And they always play us tough no matter what seed they're in.

TBH, I stopped reading there. The Celts might very well be the 2-3 seed in the east next year. They pushed us to 7 games with a bunch of their key players injured. They've got two good draft picks to reduce KG's minutes, they're getting Green back, they'll probably sign a decent free agent since KG's contract is smaller now, and still retain the vast majority of their core. Oh right, and Doc Rivers. They'll make the playoffs dude. Time to finish that puff and pass bro.

so I was searching around Twitter and found this..

apparently this guy named Jordan Schultz, he's The Huffington Post's sports columnist and writes The Schultz Report, is reporting that Ray Allen to Miami is almost a sure thing.

"Jordan Schultz @206Child 6h
To confirm earlier report, I'm hearing Ray Allen is all but locked up w the Heat; Mike Miller is 50-50 retiring or not."

A heat fan asked him..
Miami Heat @IAmHeatNation 2h
@206Child you have real sources
on allen

Jordan Schultz @206Child
@IAmHeatNation yes, yes i do.

He also said he's "not 100
percent sure, but very close to it."

Might be just me, but I am a bigger fan of Jason Terry than Ray Allen for Heat for the following reasons:

1) Terry will absolutely have no problems with coming off the bench
2) Plays with extremely high energy on both sides of the court,
3) He does not let his play make you believe he is old and aging, Ray Allen does at times.
4) While he isn't as good of a perimeter shooter as Ray (no one ever is), he is a darn good one. If finding the best 3-pt shooter was the objective, Terry would be more than a consolation.
5) Terry can also drive to the basket
6) Much better passer of the ball, can create shots for others too.

All in all, Terry for his age is still a complete package, he is still decent-good at many things while Allen is exceptional in one thing and meh in several others.

So, I am firmly entrenched on the Terry bandwagon, I hope more are, especially Riley :cowboy:

Ray is an underrated playmaker. He was their backup point when they won it all and looked surprisingly good doing it. Obviously he's not going to be able to make all those plays anymore, but he still showed that kind of ability against us in the ECF.

No matter what we think, if its a choice between the two, you know Riles is going Ray all day. If Terry winds up our consolation, that would be terrific too.

in my opinion you guys should go after a center before you go after ray allan because your front line needs help at that center position you guys had the worst big guys to win the title with acception of bosh and haselm.

Ray Allen was killing us with the PnR to Steigsma. Imagine PnR with LeBron or Bosh....
