Old news here, but I agree with Barry that it seems likely they'll consider those two again closer to March 6th

I guess we can survive staggering Dragon and Wade's mins and JRICH supporting them for the time being.

Is Wroten that bad? I know we couldn't sign him until later, but he seems like the obvious choice. Wouldn't be surprised if they signed someone to a 10 day just to have an extra body just in case until March.

Won't work, he'd just defer to Wade.
If u don't want 2b here, the way things work, u don't like it, then don't b here. U have 2 stand on something. If Miami ain't standing on something, they become alot of these organizations trying 2 find their identity. This is the culture, bro -Wade

Re: Official HEAT 2015-16 Regular Season Thread - Vol. II
Coaches cannot suit up and play. That was in the 80s.
I accept that we are truly limited to 38 days, though I still haven't had access to the numbers. Every one of our beat reports seems to use either $216000 or $213000 as the quantity we are below the tax.
So this is the most efficient way I found to split 37 days. The assumption is that a prospective player will not be ready to play at Boston Garden on Saturday but can help against a weaker Knicks squad on Sunday. Mar 9 is a game in Milwaukee that will also be missed. I skipped the Mar 22 and 23 back to back of New Orleans to San Antonio as well.
In other words this uses 37 days, but only misses 4 games, one of which we wouldn't expect to win (San Antonio away) anyhow.
8 days Feb 28 through Mar 6 (NY(a), off, Chi(h), off, PHX(h), PHI(a), off, PHI(h)) [5 games]
9 days Mar 11 through Mar 19 (Chi(a), Tor(a), off, Den(h), off, off, CHA (h), off, CLE(h)) [5 games]
20 days Mar 25 through Apr 13 [11 games]
We have to be very careful about *who* we choose. Without question Riley & Spo will prefer a veteran. 27 year old Liggins may be a suitable option. He's not very exciting, but he has a 92.3 DRTG, and a decent assist/turnover ration. He also shoots 3s at about 40%. The trouble with Liggins is that he's coming back from a foot injury.
http://www.argusleader.com/story/sports/minor-league/skyforce/2016/02/23/skyforces-liggins-gains-new-perspective-during-time-away/80815816/
The player I'd like to see on our team is Weber, but he's not ready for what we're asking. He's had very limited D-League experience since coming back from a serious injury suffered in college. I also don't see us getting a rookie involved at this point no matter how hot.
My opinion about Tony Wroten: He is a pretty bad basketball player. He is actually younger than Weber though, and he's got 3 seasons in the NBA to his name.
For now, I'd try Richardson as Dragic's backup. If he works out, great; if not, give the ball to Justise and use McRoberts to help create.
Dragic, Wade, Deng, McRoberts, Amar'e
Winslow, Richardson, Green, Haslem, Whiteside
Lineups will have to staggered to get enough shooting. It's funny how losing Udrih just makes everything look worse.
Note: The last day of the regular season (Apr 13) we can sign a second player for the postseason.

I would like Wroten. He is an amazing finisher at the rim, much like Dragic. His jumshot sucks so he should not play next to Wade, maybe entirely as his back up. He can pass the ball too but he tries to be too flashy. If we can get him to play disciplined basketball and defense (like we did with Green and Amare)
he would be a useful player for us.

I like the idea of taking a gamble on Worten, I see some talent and upside there if developed correctly.
The issue is he's the exact opposite of what a Beno replacement should be - He's inexperienced, plays out of control, cant' shoot at all, just drives in the paint like 90% of our roster, would want to showcase his full game and put up numbers in order to earn his next contract and coming back to form after a long injury- will need time to get back in good form.

Tony Wroten is a worse version of Chalmers with no shooting or defense. The only reason we know his name is because he had a couple of decent stat-wise games due to extremely high usage with Sixers. Career .647 FT% and .413 FG% is beyond horrible for a slashing guard. He's inefficient and was always near the top of the league in TO%.
We should stay away from him in my opinion.

I don't think beggars can be choosers this late in the season. He may be worth a gamble getting him into our culture and system.

Miami has moved on.....so should many other heat followers
We have no choice but to sign Beasley.
We only have Amari, Deng, and Mcroberts as big men (Forwards). Two are injury prone and even if one is out because of injury that really hurts the Heat.
So we are almost at the point that Beasley is a must sign unless we have a better option. We need a PG and a big forward
