I gotta say...since it's likely Monty Williams is gonna win COY (I'm kinda down with it, as Thibs winning it last season over him was a joke made out of pure NYK bias & PHX was great ALL season).....so we don't have the DPOY (wasn't even a finalist), and are likely gonna have at best an All-NBA 3rd teamer in Jimmy Butler, no superstars apparently, yet Spo isn't gonna win COY? Que?

About half way through the video, Skip said something about Victor and Jimmy. He says that he doesn't know the reason for it, but there is a personal issue between Vic and Jimmy. He says Jimmy told Spo that he won't share the court with Dipo. Who knows if its true, but it might be given Jimmy's reputation.

Do you honestly believe that Skip freaking Bayless knows anything about the relationship between Jimmy and Oladipo, or any relationship in our organization for that matter?

^On top of that Miami is so closed ranks....even LeBatard (a real journalist at one point) has trouble getting information. I dunno who Skip's "sources" are, but just note that there are no consequences to him for just throwing things out there to push a juicy narrative about Butler. Even after a great game from him, there's always something negative to sully it in the national media. It never fails.

I believe that Skip, or whoever told Skip, if anyone did, is probably wrong. However, I also believe that Jimmy's reputation precludes the indignation that can come from the suggestion. Given Jimmy's exit from previous teams and his seeming preference for a contentious environment surrounding him, it makes Skip's statement is much more believable than if it were about Duncan, for instance.

Having said that, no, I honestly don't believe its true. I also can't stand Skip or Shannon Sharpe.

Didn't Skip Bayless once report that Troy Aikman was gay when he, in fact, wasn't? Haha.

I think he got sued or something for that one.

Skip is not a reliable source.

I'd guess that Skip got word of something that was said and made some type of leap of logic to get to that conclusion. It could have been something very specific or even said in jest much like when Butler said...

Dragic killed it last night off the bench. Best player on the Nets, basically, with Durant and Kyrie shut down.

He's not done yet.

*spo subs Dipo in after Lowry fouls out with 3 minutes left in the 4th*

Jimmy with 32 points and clinging to a 6 point lead: Take me out! I told you I refuse to share the court with him. Skip then tried to warn you!

Yea that’s not happening Lmao

Jimmy wanted the guys who have earned rotation minutes to be the ones who played. Dipo is recovering from injury and has no chemistry with the starters. He came back too late. He just needs to keep recovering and stay ready in the event of injury in the playoffs. His time will come next season unless Spo's hands are forced to play him; Gabe having a string of terrible games.

Kevin Love shot 0.430% from 2 compared to Herro .447%
Love is a PF/C....but Herro is an inefficent chucker? Ok then

That's not efficiency, that's FG%
TS% is efficiency.
Love .594
Herro .561

ORTG?
Love 117 (108 DRTG)
Herro 107 (111 DRTG)

If you look at their per36 to get the rate of stats they're creating.
Love 21.8 pts, 11.6 reb, 3.5 ast, 2.1 TO
Herro 22.9 pts, 5.5 reb, 4.4 ast, 2.9 TO

Love doesn't get anywhere near the attention or shot creation ability. Stand at the 3 and chuck only works until people pay attention

How is this even an argument. Bam got disqualified for playing less and somehow its a plus for Love. I'm not anti advanced stats but first Im looking at impact. If its close then advanced stats.

I don't understand how a player whose playing 10 mins less, 5 mins less in the 4th quarter, normally doesn't close games was better than the other who plays more and is relied upon to close games. Herro played a lot, had a more important role for a team that was the no 1 seed in the East. Take Herro out of Miami, we are probably 5th seed. Take Love out Cavs, they end up roughly where they are. Love is nowhere near as important to Cavs as Herro was to Heat in the regular season.

And if we are not taking minutes into account then lets do it for all the other awards. A player who plays significantly more minutes and has a bigger role is more deserving of an award then someone who isn't.
