GOD NO.

That's such a huge reach at #20. He's a career backup guard, you can find those in the #50 range every year.

That's the type of pick you make during the big 3 era, when you just need a cheap capable heady player to play a limited role.

Such low celling, no way we should waste a first round on him. getting a high floor guy is meaningless for us, we can get a ton of equal level players to come to Miami for the vet Min.

I don't even want a guard, but if we go small I'd much rather roll the dice on Tyrell Terry. Worst case he sucks, but at least has a chance to move the needle for a team trying to get over the hump.

I do not think Lief is saying Heat are interested in him at 20. He might not get drafted. Lief gets a lot of UDFA or 2nd rounder information

Malachi Flynn is a very good prospect. He was the best player on a very good team.

He's also 2 years older then Herro is TODAY.

He's a decent bench guy if everything works out for him, We should NOT go for the low hanging fruit like that in our position, can't pick scared.

My guess is that Mia would like to trade for an established vet and is willing to put the 20th pick in play but would also like to get back into the draft and pick up a second-rounder perhaps in the same deal.

Flynn is on my round 2 prospect list. Just because we are interested doesnt mean its at #20. He is a guy that makes winning plays. Kinda like a Tyler Johnson though who we could get for min probably. Maybe this means we are seriously looking at adding a pick in the draft. I hope we do but also the UDFA market is going to be nice this draft.
1. Herro 2. Bol Bol 3. Seko 4. Bruno
unless we trade up for Barrett or trade down for PJ Washington

If everything works out for him, he's a high-end starter. We're drafting 20th so there won't be a lot of players with a lot of upside available.

You're not getting a player that could average 6 assists and 2 turnovers, play well offensively and defensively for the minimum. Tyler Johnson isn't even a minimum contract player.

They called him the best big man finisher in the country. Also a versatile scoring big who can stretch the floor, midrange and in the paint.

Nice find ! The kid is legit, glad he is being slept on, the way he want to emulate Bam is a good sign, his dribling and shooting is underated, he might not be embiid but he is a triple threat, solid defender the can move his feet and block shots. If we had a guy like this to play along bam and spare bam, we prob beat the lakers...

He didn't fall out of the league. The Suns were just a bad fit for him then he got waived. He played much better in Brooklyn and will more than likely get more than the minimum this year.

I've been looking at footage again, and listened to some interviews from this past season. I think I actually like Tyrese Maxey now. It might be a bit cliché, but look at some of his interviews. His mindset screams Miami Heat! Plus, he seems to have the length (6'6" on a 6'3" guard), first step, and natural scoring ability to be a good 2 way combo guard. Plop him next to Herro or Dragic, and he'll be should be able to cover opposing guards while providing some relief scoring.

He definitely needs to improve his shooting, but fortunately he seems to be very aware of it. This along with his balanced mechanics, and FT % (83%) suggests he'll atleast be an average shooter within a couple seasons.

Oturu looks like a great option for us. Nigerian connection with Bam. Imagine a Nigerian nightmare lineup with Oturu, Bam, Giannis, and maybe even Dipo.

;ab_channel=HoopIntellect

Outlook: Skill set is comparable to a poorman’s Lamarcus Aldridege … Figures to find a spot in the late first to early second round of the 2020 NBA draft … Projects as a solid NBA contributor with his ability to defend, rebound, and knock down face up shots as well as convert around the basket …

I'll take this all day. This is exactly what we need to be developing off our bench behind Bam.

I got Oturu number 2 on my board. Honestly like over Jalen Smith.

Pretty sure Maxey and Smith will be gone before 20, on guy that could drop is maledon, but not a huge fan
