Re: Around the NBA streets Vol. 5: ONE MORE TIME
I’m all for the NBA having games without fans in the arena. People need sports. Otherwise, everyone talks about what to watch on TV/streaming and I have no ability to change the subject. What am I supposed to say now? “Yo I browsed realgm for two hours and guess what Chalm said”
No one cares what Chalm said except me. Hence my sig. i warned you guys about Coronavirus. SMH.

Naaah Leave dem players alone. What about these owners. They are insanely rich. Balmer worth 50 billion, nets owner 9 billion, Arison 7 billion. Good for Cuban, only one whose stepped. They should be ashamed players are doing this.
I mean Balmer could take care this himself for the whole league with 50 mill which is like 0.1 % if his net worth. I am pro capitalist but I have I had that kinda money I wouldn't be as stingy as some of these people are.

Yeah should've been more detailed in my post, definitely meant the higher end of players making bank and also the Owners included.
What Zion did was great. Smart he didnt give away how much he will fund the staff due to him not earning the big bucks yet but sharing what he can. Respect.
Balmer doesnt seem like the type to share tbh. I can see Arison giving a mill, even though his cruise line will take a massive hit.

Arison’s net worth is going to take a massive hit. Cruise ships will be less in demand, due to the travel restrictions and uncertainties over where is safe. Plus the whole issue with the issue with the Diamond Princess having hundreds of cases and 7 deaths (though it actually should be higher, as Western Australia’s only COVID-19 death was a Diamond Princess passenger - they just died back in Perth).
Tourism and travel industries are going to take a big hit with this, unfortunately. Hearing how many people are being laid off around the world makes me appreciate the job & pay security I have.

It's really not that simple. While it would be nice to donate as an owner(and it sounds like some are), then people expect you to do that across the board for everything under them so others in a different situation say then why not do that for this so your 0.1% of the income becomes a much larger number and of course, most of their money is in assets like companies, not just cash. The people at the top are in situations where they have to be pretty fair across the board or it will come back to bite them possibly greatly. Also, just because a rich person isn't helping in a way you want doesn't mean they're not helping people in other ways like charities.
I tend to believe everything is much more complicated then just doing the right thing for a particular situation. For instance, shutting down the schools, which would be fine if the kids would stay at home and parents didn't have to worry about their kids having supervision, but shutting down the schools brings a whole new set of problems. Is the answer daycare and if it is, is that really a better overall situation then school or do some of the kids go to stay with older relatives who don't work(even if just part of the day) possibly spreading the virus that way to the people who it can do way more damage too? Things are just way more complicated than just doing the right thing for that particular moment.

Rudy won’t be welcome back by the Jazz player. If they make him available for a trade, Herro, Nunn and airplane mode for him ?

Woj should shut himself down for a month. He's just being a tabloid creating unnecessary drama for clicks at this point
