The prices are rising! Why wouldn't Detroit want a 100 million dollar center with Duren on the roster.

I agree that this is all posturing. 76ers are better off holding onto assets and using cap space on free agents. Then after free agency look into the trade market with assets. Bernie Lee is the one leaking all these rumors. My bet is Jimmy and the front office work out a deal. I don’t think Jimmy wants to wait 6 months on an extension either with new team so some compromises will be made imo. This all seems like leveraging tactics from both sides. Riley wants games played clauses in the contract.

76ers are going to bring Highsmith back home. But this time on an overpaid contract

If they hire Quinn then a trade for Mitchell is even more seamless cause Quinn will be happy getting a good amount of our core in a trade.

If Bryant is hired it’s a forgone conclusion that Mitchell is signing extension

Does it not make more sense to try and sign Donovan as a FA in 25 after he opts out?

I don't see how we can build a quality team if we purge all assets for him.

It would be a mistake, for Riley to rely on contract clauses with Jimmy.

Jimmy is not the type to be controlled like that. I predict he turns to malicious compliance, or finds ways to comply but not really fulfill the spirit of the clause... etc.

Good lets move on. The Jagsmith archetype is the easiest to find in the UDFA pool every year.

Well part of the problem is he is most likely signing a four year extension now. Ignoring that, we would need to gut the team to even get the cap space to offer him a max which will cost us even more assets.

Also if we are being honest here, we are paying Jimmy for his postseason play not his regular season play. Spo just needs play it smarter, go for the wins the. When we have a playoff slot he can play all those strange lineups he wants.

Was there mention of a S&T being an option to net a 2nd rounder?

Time for Cain. Raising Cain if you will.

Cavs will push hard for it based on the equity they gave up.

MIN looks like they could use another scorer. Do you think they would take Herro?

Herro to MIN
Gobert to PHX
Kevin Durant to MIA

They gave up a ton of capital for Gobert. He's part of their defensive masterplan. Tyler not good enuff to push Ant from the starting lineup.

If Gobert and fillers get you KD they cut us out of this trade so fast and get KD instead. That would be a very interesting place for him. No idea why the Suns do this?

I was thinking PHX could use a defensive minded center. Maybe MIN could insert Herro in their starting lineup and shift KAT to center. MIN's going to be well over the cap soon and I think PHX might need to shed some salary as well
