what is this news that we have offered Mike Miller 27-30 million for 5 years and he has until tonight to accept?

I think Riley's plan is if we get Lebron, we trade off Beasley in that sign and trade

we then use the money we save by trading Beasley to sign Mike Miller

for this to happen, all four would have to take less (Wade, Bron, and Bosh about 15 each to start) and Miller 5 to start

but think of this

Wade
Miller
Lebron
Bosh
Who cares

Miller would be that shooter that fits perfectly. The team would be amazing

hmmm...

reports of Haywood resigning with Dallas and Mike Miller being offered a 5 year $27-30MM deal by Miami make sense if we know LBJ is committed to Miami.

If LBJ comes, we are out of the Haywood run because there is no way we could put together $8-9MM for him. But, if we trade Beasley either directly in S&T for Miller or to an under the cap team, we would have enough money with the big 3 each taking about $700k less per year to sign Miller to that deal. I'm sure that's a realistic discount they would take to bring in a legitimate veteran shooter/swing player/ defender.

What if Lebron IS the Point Guard? Or Wade, for that matter?

Hell, with the handles Wade/Lebron/Miller all have, we wouldn't even need a point guard, we could run like the 2nd 3-peat Bulls who basically started two SGs in Harper and Jordan and a SF in Pippen.

Chalmers is the backup, we start those 3 and they share ball-handling duties.

If LeBron does commit and we are able to add Miller, Wade and Lebron will be playing a lot of PG.

560 is saying if we are offering Miller a deal then LeBron isn't coming because he won't fit IF all 3 take Max $.

That's what I would prefer, but who knows?

Maybe Wade told Riley he'd play PG if LeBron came along and shared ballhandling duties? And maybe we feel like we have Big Z lined up for the minimum?

PG - D Wade
SG - M Miller
SF - L James
PF - C Bosh
C - Z Ilgauskas

My god, typing that lineup felt like I was playing NBA Live or something.

And if LeBron didn't come, Wade slides back to SG, Miller is our SF, then we just need PG/C for $15M or so.

There is ZERO chance Miami would make Miller an offer unless they knew what Lebron was doing. They would not risk losing Lebron by making this offer. The timing overwhelmingly suggests that Miami either knows he's coming or not. There is no uncertainty anymore, and the front office knows exactly what's going on.
