That’s pretty damn solid. A lot of scorers to stop in the playoffs but that defense should be bad

Barrett might be on his way out

This is what I’ve been saying. Contenders would love these guys for a 1st

We are not getting a first for any of these guys except maybe Lowry to a contender

Disagree, especially on Strus

I love Strus but he’s more valuable to the Heat then around the league. Just a year ago he was working his way out of summer league. He’s also a free agent next year. Nobody is giving up a first for him. I also think the Heat want to keep him after they deal Herro. Lowry will get you a late protected first from a contender but contracts need to come back with him. Does Brooklyn want those contracts? Our path to these deals are awfully complicated.

I disagree. Someone would gladly take an elite shooter like that just to boost their chances this season.

I agree Miami wants to keep him but if it has to happen to get KD then it has to happen

I was a pessimist turned optimist. Just trying to hold some faith here.

Some of you guys need reading comprehension, I was told that they like Herro slightly more but we were trumped on the Picks which they had offered 5 FRP's. We couldn't hit that goal post, Miami found a way to get 1 more FRP from a team offloading Lowry but I don't believe they have gone out tested waters for other players, they probably would have to gut the entire team just to get picks to match the current offer from the Knicks, let alone the Knicks can still add 3 more on top of the 5 offered for a total of 8.

Why the sudden trend to value picks so much?? NBA draft is the biggest gamble of all the sports. Take proven young prospects like Herro over some mystery future pick that odds say will amount to nothing

They’ll trade Barrett before they do Quickley. IQ and Mitchell are friends.

We’ve been hearing KD is the guy. Let it play out. When KD goes to Phoenix then we panic, especially if we still say screw Kyrie at that point

I think its an Ainge thing especially. He is going full rebuild ala Boston so he will tank, play young guns, and draft, draft, draft, trade middling contracts for more picks, rinse repeat, hopefully 5-6 years you field a team of stars surrounded by vets on the cheap.

Picks can help you get bigger stars too so it’s not just about the draft, plus when the Knicks are throwing an arsenal of young players and picks we can’t compete

Yup. He’s going full OKC route. I was always afraid of the Knicks going after Mitchell since day one.

No bueno for us. Ainge about to fleece the Knicks.

What I do know is this, nobody comes out and says so and so is talking to so and so and is in the lead if a deal is done. This is obviously Utah trying to raise the asking price for Donovan, they have the baseline set by the Knicks, who is gonna match them, or beat them in the current deal. We could get there, but it may cost us too many pieces you'll be left with:

Jimmy, Bam, Deadmon, Jovic, Dipo , with Mitchell coming back, and now your fielding mininums, and two ways to fill the rest.

There’s no logical reason without Mitchell asking for Miami for the Jazz to take our offer over the Knicks.

RJ > Herro
5 picks > 2 picks (we have to deal with OKC to unlock our 3rd)

why is the report that we can only trade 2 picks? I thought we could trade 2023, 2027, 2029

Your optimism is acidic at the moment, refrain from raising the white flag just yet until the end of this week or some people will not sleep well tonight.

I thought we were only offering two and didn’t want to throw all our picks at Mitchell

The pick we owe OKC is '25 protected, then '26 no protections. This means we can't trade '27 because '26 may be gone.

Same could be said for uou. If you continued reading you would see I also edited the post to correct it but edited it as a quote instead.

Technically I didn’t say we were running it back just saying that we are closer with the Knicks news,

It’s funny how information comes out that Kyrie didn’t want to leave the nets

So what is KD gonna back out of getting traded too?

It all just seems funny how it’s working out is all
