Was there a deadline for the extension? Are we in the clear of this talk for now?

The window to sign extension ended a couple days ago. Next window opens up sometime after this season ends.
For a long time it gave me nightmares, witnessing an injustice like that. It’s a constant reminder of just how unfair this world can be.I can still hear them taunting him, Silly Rabbit tricks are for kids.I mean why couldn’t they just give him some cereal?

His next extension window is on july 1 and runs the entire 26/27 season.. the smart thing to do is to let him play out that season and let him test free agency..

The smarter thing to do is to trade that fraud star to another team that needs a six man

This is straight Jimmy Butler delusions.

Even if you want to inflate the playoff Jimmy narrative, there's a reason he wasn't called regular season Jimmy

Im at under 40.. 35 seems a bit tight, but one injury to a significant player, on a very weak roster, and your prediction can be a very real reality.

What was Golden State's record after they traded for him?

Conversely, what was Mia's record after trading him away?

Guy's, Mia was 37-45 last year.

You actually think they will have a better season?

Tough.
Case we win 38-40+
East is definitely weaker with several teams missing key players. We added Norman Powell. Added Kasper. Hopefully better Jovic and Ware. Davion and Wiggins full offseason. Jimmy drama was definitely not helping this team, felt like he actively tried to lose us games until he got traded.

Case we don't.
Herro is already hurt. Wiggins is always hurt and its Wiggins. No real identity as a team and not enough top tier talent in an ever improving NBA. None of our young guys make any type of leap forward.

I think we win 38-40 and make playoffs via play in as is our custom.

Even if Mia is at full strength, which it seems they rarely are for sustainable periods of time, they lack ball handling/ playmaking. Their offense is too disorganized to inspire any confidence that they can execute in late game situations which they were amongst the worst at last season.

No Jimmy means no reliable handler who can also get to the line and manufacture offense.

Short of Dru, Kas, or dare I say Rozier unexpectedly having a big year, I'm not seeing any solutions to the team's void at the lead ball handling spot in late game situations.

Also I kinda feel like Powell will go rogue inevitably because his main goal is to get paid, and the best way for him to do that is by putting up number at the expense of the team. This is assuming we dont extend him or plan to resign him.

You mean after half a season's rest? I would put money he's load managing before Christmas...and when GSW starts to struggle it will be everyone else's fault

What did Playoff Jimmy look like without other teams focusing on Steph?

I believe come Dec 15 the Heat will be looking for D and deep 3 specialist guard. Someone who can shoot it beyond the top of the wing and top of three point line

Powell having similar success as last year with the Clippers will have the Heat second guessing the contract value of Herro..

Herro putting identical numbers as Powell, except for efficiency Powell had was more efficient.

Do you extend Herro at 4 years 206 million…

Or

Sign Powell at 4 years 120 million
