It seems we have this conversation every year don't we?

It is like he hits a wall

The Heat need a heavy dose of consistency.

A steady consistent guy who attacks the basket with big man efficiency.

He is exactly what the Heat need.

I think he could be a STAR with the spacing the Heat can provide.

Bam and Herro are suffering not having Lowry on the floor. It’s why Lowry gets paid over 30 million.

23-13-2-2-1 8/16 from the field, 5/9 from 3. Great offense and rebound with a little defense sprinkled in. Trade 2 1sts for him, we find all rookie level players off the streets anyways.

The power forward to watch Paul Milsap. Pat wanted him last year. He still fits the role.

Really wished Markief was healthy. Can't imagine him sitting out this long and to expect him back and be reliable.

I say keep an eye on Milsap. He should be an easy plug and play like PJ.

He would be good in theory but i feel like it will be easy for the Nets to trade his small contract to a West team.

spo!! If you don't win at least one round in the playoffs or you don't make a significant change with this small ball BS ... I think you are getting fired before next season starts, brother!

Similar to Dragic. If Milsap wants to come here he will be bought out if he is traded. Its just up to Riley to send his runners to talk to his agent.

KZ is likely to be sent out. Orlando is probably a good destination. And Guy being released and looked at this summer.

If Dragic can't find a significant role to a team, Dragic and Milsap may be the final moves this year.

He is under control and not taking 20+ shots like last year. In fact he hasn't gone over 19 attempts this year. I don't put any special significance on 20, but i think it shows him attempting to fit in the system and less Hero ball.

Sap is done. I’d pass on him

I wouldn’t be shocked if we made a move for Wood before the deadline. 2 lightly protected 1sts, Robinson, and Gabe? Hmm

What worries me about Lowry absence is that if this is family related and he’s going through things right now why would he even be in shape when he comes back. 2 weeks of stress can do crazy things to your body. Hopefully not the case

That's the dilemma with Spo.

No one wants him fired, but we all recognize that he's set in his ways.

And Pat Riley is super keen on continuity and does not want to groom another head coach.

What I find most interesting is how Spo has deviated from Riley's public statements about the vision for the team. Two examples come to mind:

* Riley wanted Bam and Whiteside to play together, which Spo never really did
* Riley predicted that Bam would take on a bigger role in the offense this year, especially thinking that Kyle Lowry would elevate Bam's game, but Spo diminished Bam's role, instead

On top of that, Riley signed on Yurtz to give us a big who can stretch the floor and potentially play alongside Bam. I'm sure Riley loved what he saw from Yurtz because he coached many of the game's greatest bigs and understands their importance in winning championships. I can't imagine he was happy about seeing Yutrz benched after we rose from the 6th seed to the 2nd seed and looked legit without Bam, Dedmon, and Jimmy.

So Riley and Spo are a bit at odds as to the vision for this team and their philosophy on how to win the game.

If Spo doesn't prove that his philosophy and style can win, there could be issues between him and Spo. If Spo doesn't win, hopefully, it results in Spo coming to his sense and adapting.

But Spo may not take too kindly to not having complete control of the team or not being able to do things his way.
