Jimmy had to take more shots because neither Bam or Herro stepped up

Herro was fine. The fanboys want him to explode but this was Butlers night to nutt.

That said, we know what Herro is capable of.

My thing he wasn't shooting. Even when Butler was out the game. He needs to be more aggressive and look for his shot. If he can't average 20, we are not going far in the playoffs.

He is obviously not aggressive enough in his game approach. Need to see more of that dog mentality from Herro. Should talk to jimmy about that

I'd rather he not shoot and win by 10 than him shoot us out of the game like DeFrozen.

Herro was 4/7 in the first half. Not bad

Man Jimmy played unbelievable today but we have to hope that Bam wakes up. Herro too. This no-show will not work out VS the 76ers. Let's go and win game 3 with a solid performance by Bam and Herro.

Herro and Bam will have to know what’s expected of them in these playoffs. You simply cannot win if you don’t have at least a second star stepping up. Seems like these guys are quickly finding out this isn’t bubble ball anymore

He didn't have to, it was his shots. The opening was there for him. Heat did not pass the ball to Bam at all tonight and the Hawks were trapping and pressing Herro.

Give that man his roses tonight

Turnovers took shot opportunities away and the Butler took his shots. Strus played well and he had a great matchup because they were defending Strus with Young.

Would love nothing more than Miami continue this trend in all their series of taking the supposed superstars on the other teams to the woodshed for a good old shellacking.

One thing Spo needs to understand, when teams are pressing do not run Herro at point. Its a turnover waiting to happen.

and came back in with like 2 mins left in the 3rd. The rotations were a bit strange, maybe was the foul trouble.

Why I want him in the starting lineup next year

Didn't know about Bam's injury. Hopefully is in a better place on Friday

I am not taking away anything away from Jimmy. He clearly is our best player and leader right now. I guess my criticism of Herro is more of a big picture concern. Looking into the future is Herro going to be an All star and franchise player for us? I think he has the ability and potential to be that. However recent play off performances (including last season) have made a little worrisome in that regard. He needs to be better and aspire to be more than just a
good role player. Star mentality is revealed in the playoffs and I m not seeing it from Herro right now.

Zasterror wrote:Seriously, a win is a win. This is the playoffs, situations changes game by game. Hawks clearly wanted Duncan nullified so we adjusted and played the bully ball that they think they wanted. You saw how that turned out for them. Bogdon got ridiculously hot in the 4th but no one else; Trae was still in jail. Its not going to be perfect, this ain't the regular season. We still won by double digits where we clearly could had won by more if Bam n Herro plays to their season averages.

Jesus Christ all yall care about is Herro taking shots. The only reason Heat struggle was turnovers and not rebounding on loose balls.

Dawg, we are in the playoffs with a title contending team. Enjoy the now. The playoffs just started only two games. Why worry about 5 years from now.

No mention of Kyle Lowry yet. He wasn't exactly spectacular tonight either for all the Bam/Herro talk.....he had a big and-1 late when ATL was making their run. But other than that he had some bad turnovers and was only 2-8.

This team hasn't scratched the surface. Very much looking forward to how we handle Game 3 on the road.
