There are actually a few decent players available, but other teams are really throwing money at players early.

This just shows how the lockout did not help anything at all...GM's still throwing max contracts around and overpaying players like money grows on trees. Then, they bitch about losing money, blame the large markets, and cause a lock out.

Memphis has offered full midlevel to Ray Allen for 2 yrs.

Allen weighing 3 factors in decision: 1 - chances of competing for title; 2 - role on team; & 3 - money offered

For this team..? Because we already don't have enough guys that can create their own shot... If your worried about the 2nd unit, don't forget we have two good young point guards whose confidence and talent will only continue to improve, and having Ray Ray on the team will also allow either Lebron or Wade play with the 2nd unit a lot more. Fact is, Ray Allen would do wonders for this off of reputation alone. I guarantee you teams will not be doubling up on Lebron and Wade as much knowing that Ray Ray will be open from beyond the arc.

All of the players who can create their own shot are on the first team.

i'd like to have somebody coming off the bench that can also get their own look and won't be dependent on Bron and Wade to create for them.

And forget that "reputation" nonsense. If teams give Terry wide open looks because his rep isn't as great as ray, he'll be up around 45-50% from 3.

Man I am JUST catching up on all these contract offers on several players around the league. The new CBA changed nothing.

FA's each off season use the Miami Heat as leverage, I don't get excited anymore - I would have liked to sign a draft pick, develop him in training camp, give him some REAL paying time. The pressure each year of fitting a new FA is rough. I don't get excited anymore

So Lebron and Bosh used the Heat as leverage? Wow people around here have the shortest memories of all time

I was NOT referring to those 2, was referring to FA's that we were only offering MLE or Role Player salaries, NOT KEY PLAYERS.

Anyone that comes here has to come here because they want to win a bunch of titles. Not because of money. THere's noone on this team besides the rookies who haven't given up money to do so.

So if we get Ray, it won't be because of money as a factor. So if we get him, good. If not, he wasn't a Heat player.

Rashard Lewis would be a very good fit if his head is right because he brings spacing and versatility which is the biggest strength on this team.

I'm not sure Rashard Lewis is actually worth even the vet minimum. Dude is 32. And ever since he stopped doing PEDs, he's lost his entire game. He shot under 30 percent last year for 3. He doesn't really play defense. He's also not a good rebounder for a guy that size.

Jason Kidd would be fun to get though. Dude is a lockdown physical defender. Can knock in the 3 in the clutch. And loves playing with Lebron and Wade. If the Mavs go and get Nash or Deron Williams--he might be an option.

Grant Hill would be a good pickup too.

And then obviously any center we could get our hands on.

Kidd is going wherever Deron is going. Cross him off your list

Worst case scenario just sign Grant Hill and Michael Redd?

Mario/Cole
Wade/Redd/Jones
Battier/Hill/Jones
Lebron/Udonis/Anthony
Bosh/Anthony/Pittman/Hamilton
