If you could have some sway in where you are going, and your options are. Go to a team that just almost made it to the finals, with Jimmy Butler and Bam and an organization that is known for being good and always in the thick of things. Or going to the **** trash a$$ nicks. Why wouldn't you speak up and say "yea send me to the good team".

I don't know why anybody would ever want to be a Knick with James Dolan still the owner. One of the worst owners in the history of sports. Playing in New York is perpetual hell.

Mitchell has to speak up. As of right now he doesn’t have a choice. He has to say he doesn’t want to go anywhere but Miami.

If you can get KD without giving up Bam then go for it. But if we are forced to pivot to offering the farm to get Mitchell then I think it'd be a waste of assets. Just get him from NYK in a few years when his deal expires and we can get him for nothing.

I don't like operating as a trade partner with teams from a point of weakness especially when we are up against packages with 5frps and we currently only have 2 picks avaliable for trade without making additional moves with OKC to unlock our picks and a rookie in Jovic.

At this point it seems like we are just being used by Utah as leverage to squeeze more out of NYK.

KD is the only one we have a shot at in my opinion only beacuse he's requested a trade and named us as an option and PHX seemingly face the problem of having to maneuver around Ayton's S&T.

I personally don't think we're landing anyone during the offseason. I think we're likely going into the season a little weaker than last year. We'll be a middling team and likely push and overpay for a good player/s because we'll be underperforming and something will need to happen. Pretty grim but if Dunc can find the form he had when he earned that contract he'll be a more tradable asset. I think other teams may also be curious what we end up paying Herro.

Yea, honestly, I'm one of them. I def prefer Mitchell over KD if we can keep Bam and Jimmy.

I'd prefer Mitchell over KD also. I'm in the minority of thinking longterm. Him and Bam can be the core for the next 7-8 years. KD is a drama queen and is injury prone , it doesnt guarantee a championship and the window is small with him and Jimmy. Not to mention his pricetag is way higher.

But KD defiately fits better now. FIlls the hole at PF. With Mitchell we still a need a PF

I'm gonna be honest.

I've probably read about 250 pages about our off-season and it sums up to.....we kept Dipo and Martin.

Didn't read the last 20 pages...what did I really miss?
