I don't see how they could get back Zion and Ingram for Robinson and Butler. It works number wise, but seems like a deal that would be made in a video game.

I'd think Pelicans could get more for Zion or atleast someone younger. Look at the Kat/Randle trade.

And do you think Zion would get down to the body fat percentage? Not saying he couldn't with work, but he hasn't really given any indication during his NBA career that he'd do it.

I have a hard time believing the grizzlies would trade the 26 year old Bane but who knows

Can a Bane and Herro backcourt work?

Look, no one likes Pierce, but notice all the posts are about attacking him and staying dead dead dead quiet about what he said. We can destroy the messenger, but that message is just simple common sense that we don't want to hear, thats why it stings so much. Thats why it pisses us off. It's like he said what we dont want anyone to say out loud. He is airing out our dirty little secret. Thats not even addressing the financial issue of 50+ mil lost by leaving X team to come here. Again Star players, their agents, their circle of influence all see what is happening and they are not idiots.

I haven't watched much Grizzlies games, but it looks like his numbers are down this year. He doesn't see like number one guy offensively? If the Heat like this deal maybe they feel Herro is going to be that guy. He has been hitting big shots all year.

I think so considering Herro and Duncan have worked to a 9-4 record so far and Bane is actually a defender so that evens out Herro and Duncan being terrible defenders. Bane normally is a high volume high percentage 3 point shooter.

Is the dirty secret that NBA players age out of stardom and teams put more scrutiny on extensions for players at the end of their careers?

So saucy. You should write a drama. ICC would be proud.

I hate that guy as much as you can hate something that doesn’t impact your life at all, but he’s right. From an optics perspective, it’s the 5th superstar we’ve had problems with on the way out.

Right or wrong l…fair or not, the optics are what they are. It just doesn’t look good.

Players come here because they want to win and make the most money possible. Miami has a history of both.

It's not complicated. Stop treating the NBA like a soap opera. Players want money and winning. Nothing else matters.

And the stars keep coming....it doesnt matter TODAY that Zo had a career threatening kidney disease, Shaq was fat and lazy, and LeBron wanted to go home. Even D-Wade came crawling back to Miami less than two years after he left.

Butler is under contract and flat out quit on the team mid-season.

More than enough ammo to swing for Fox too with picks expirings (Duncan/terry) this summer.

Fox 6’3
Herro 6’5
Bane 6’5
Bam 6’9
Ware 7’0

Only 1 bad defender and you just need him to play solid team defense and not get picked on

If that were really true then we wouldn’t have. Been blackballed by Klutch sports for so many years. Like it or not, it is something of a soap opera.

We haven't won anything since Lebron left. Also there is no way star players can make more money here with the new CBA. In reality they will be losing 50+ to come here, then factor in how we treat Jimmy, they wont make up that money here.

What are you smoking, man? Winning isn't just a title. Jimmy saw more success than he's ever had anywhere else here. Same with Bron. Same with Bosh. Same with Dragic. They want to win as much as possible. This "title or bust" mentality is mostly fan oriented.

Free agency is irrelevant. Stars demand trades now and try to pick the location. That's how it works. They want to be here because they get to keep more of their money here while also winning.
