Miller is the last thing we're missing. Another old slow broken down player that can't defend his own shadow.

We need size and defenders, bangers that play hard.

anyways i know it is too early for this seeing our season is not even halfway through but its always fun thinking ahead to the future. what is your dream scenario for next season (assuming we complete the three peat and how GLORIOUS that would be!!!)

so here goes my ideal situation

pg: Mario Chalmers/Norris Cole
sg: Wayne Selden/Dwyane Wade
sf: LeBron James/Anthony Morrow/James Ennis
pf: Chris Bosh/Michael Beasley/Eric Griffin/Udonis Haslem
c: Pau Gasol/Chris Andersen/Greg Oden

whoever we draft in the 2nd round would be our 15th man project.

why wade as the second guard? ive been saying it forever as wade continues to age he'd be better suited as the sixth man ala ginobli and 2008 olympics (where he tore it up). would his ego allow it is another question. i think giving him 25-28 minutes as the 6th man and playing in crunch time will not only extend his playing years but make us a bigger threat offensively. chalmers im hoping resigns as he hits threes and knows our system and he can be had on the cheap. eric griffin and ennis would be brought in on rookie type deals while beasley/morrow/oden on vet min type deals. dream pickup in the draft would be selden from kansas (look him up) and then a MLE type deal for gasol

watchu think

I like it.

Though I'd probably go Hamilton over Griffin, purely because I know more about him and I'd imagine he's a better fit spacing the floor. Odds are neither play much, but if Hamilton did well, Gasol can also play some minutes at PF.

I know nothing about the draft but I'm hoping we draft a young athletic wing player so Selden fits that I presume?

Will Wade be willing to play 6th man is the big question? It would make the team so much better and allow us to constantly keep 2 of the big 3 on the court at a time and just close each half with all of them on the court.

Would Gasol actually sign for the MLE?

Morrow would be a nice fit with his outside shooting and Ennis makes us younger and more athletic on the wings.

Maybe a PF with that 2nd rounder to play behind Bosh/Beas.

I know this might sound like a bad idea but I think the Heat should take a look at Shannon Brown. An athletic guard that I think can strive in our system of running.

Totally agree. Gasol Not a good fit here at all. He's a bad defender now days, injury prone, he's on the verge of being done. Not what we want as a starting energetic Center at all.

We don't need a huge talent, we need energy, defense, and FIT.

Saw an article today talking about the heat still possibly making a trade before the deadline. Any ideas of who they may be looking at? The article mentioned rip hamilton and Shannon brown. Could just be me personally but I think both of these would fail to make the heat any better.

Can we get Thomas Robinson? He's a young kid who can rebound and hasn't been given much of chance on both the kings and the rockets..

I've liked him since Kansas just wish he got more of a chance aswell - would love if we could get him onboard but how?

I'm sure he's hoping to get traded to Phoenix though so he can be with the Morris twins.

I'm surprised at how slow that guys NBA career has started. Looking at him in college he looked like a prototype pf. 6-10 built like a tank. Rebounder with a decent shot. He was also praised for his maturity but he's already been suspended for throwing a stupid elbow and traded twice. Maybe he will be a late bloomer like David west/zbo

The guy is only 22 and this is just his second year. Sacramento was just a toxic environment and they had a logjam of PF's. He was simply a trade piece for the Rockets and nothing else. Also, although he is listed as 6'10 I've seen people say that he isn't big enough, but he looks big enough to me..

He's only averaging 11 minutes a game in Portland. The guy was a lottery pick! He doesn't really have discipline issues. He doesn't have a lot of trade value now. We should be able to get him for a pick and maybe a shooter. The only problem is that Portland may want to keep him as back-up.

He could easily be one of Riley's projects. I mean.. Haslem, who went un-drafted and was only 6'8 was a pretty good PF for us till the injuries and age took their toll on him.

I dont know are you guys aware but your co-GM followed one interesting prospect Bogdan Bogdanovic last night in Israel, he is 6-6 swingman which also happen to play PG in absence of his injured teammate, good range, good defender, average athleticism, you can see killer instict in his eyes, currently one of the leading scorers in Euroleague, good 3pt shooter and he is often compared to one ex-Heat player Sasha Danilovic He is projected as late first round pick or early 2nd round.

This is the link to the story Vuc N Pek referenced:

I doubt Bogdanovic comes to NBA this year, so this is probably more appropriate for that upcoming draft topic.

He could be a backup SG for us. Seems he is long, plays the passing lanes and has good lateral quickness. Good shooter and quick release. We should definitely look to get him if he decides to come over and is going as an early second rounder or late first rounder. The kid does have his negatives though. He's turnover prone and isn't great at finishing. Off-ball defense is also suspect.

If Oden stays healthy and can give us 18-20 minutes a night then it's best we go for a SG in the draft. We should also get a PF though. Like I said, Thomas Robinson would be good.

I don't want to see washed up Roger Mason Jr and Rashard on the team next year.

you really dont know nothing. the Nets have his rights. we drafted him then traded him imediately to minny wich traded him to the nets. thats the draft we aquired norris cole. so you can forget about bogdanovic, he will come to the nba next season because he has an expiring contract with fenerbache ulker...

He's talking about Bogdan Bogdanovic from Partizan, you're talking about Bojan Bogdanovic from Fenerbahce, two different players.

That's "bojan bogdanovic" not "bogdan bogdanovic."
