They must be really high on Oden if this is true. Good to hear actually because I'd rather have oden if he can go.

The Miami Heat are not expected to pursue Andrew Bynum in free agency, according to a source.

The Heat have been working hard with Greg Oden in order to get him healthy enough to play in the playoffs.

i wouldnt take anything wiretap says with 100 percent. theyve also reported on some stuff this year that have proven to be false (thad young wanting a trade)

Wiretap isnt the source they just post stories that have been shared elsewhere. This for example comes from Spears

If we were sinking we would probably push for Bynum. I just think this is just a good sign :)

This is a good sign. It means Oden is close.

if true, this is a bad decision, just like signing Joel Anthony to that deal was, just like Signing Mason, just like letting Miller go

Marc Spears is pretty reliable. But does this mean the heat rly arent interested or are they trying to bring down bynum's market value to the vet min? Who knows. Tbh, at this point either way, u cant complain. If Riley decides Oden is good enough that we dont need Bynum, we have to trust him. If we do bring him in, lets hope he can fit chemistry wise. We have to trust Pat Riley here, he did build a back to back champion.

true. im in the camp that thinks signing bynum to a vet min deal is a no lose situation besides maybe losing mason/jj but if the team truly believes oden will be ready soon and there will be no need for andrew than i am content with that. im just tired of seeing rashard/mason/haslem/battier stinking up the court

Well seeing how a lack of size has turned into a liability this year, I'm not too keen on relying on a man who hasn't played a professional game in four years. If it's because Bynum wants the MMLE, ok I understand. But if he's willing to accept the minimum, I'd take it. Take it and run.

But w/e. I'm just gonna enjoy the season either way.

No, I meant unmotivated in the sense that no one wants him at all, so what's the point? That kid would be down in the dumps looking at it that way.

I definitely think Bynum wouldn't have any motivation problems on any contending team especially if he gets to start. But to have no teams interested in him? Yikes...

i dont like this at all, at least take bynum as an insurance because the last i heard no team is interested in bynum so he would take the veteran minimum i belive if only riley called. i dont belive oden will hold up until the playoffs, let alone bang seven games with hibbert. and if its come to this that the faith of this team the back to back champs has come down to a guy with glass knees and who hasnt played in four years then god help us. but there is no way that i am trusting oden. no freaking way...

They dont know. But there is a training staff that is dedicated 100% to limiting any possibility of re-injury.

What they can see is he is probably performing well in practice; slowiy gaining strength, stamina and agility.

Although Bynum has seen the floor, he has just as much uncertainty health wise. I cant wait to see Oden out on the court.

You dont play for the unknown. You trust the plan you've put into place and Riley and Co. obviously believe in the plan they've constructed for Oden. So when the time comes, I dont want to see any of these "no way I trust Oden" posters giving him praise when you counted him out before he even got a chance to prove himself.

they cannot limit or prevent what happens on the court. oden is one wrong step away from another knee injury. i just dont trust him. maybe because of limited intel that we are getting about him. he doesnt speak to the media at all , we seen some videos before games and the guy is strugling mightly, wich could be seen in the last video ( i think it was vs sacramento ), the guy makes five to ten jumps in a row and is a dead body if i belive correctly wich says alot if he is working from summer to this point he is a 2 year project even if that. the guy will never be what you all hope for, be happy with ten minutes even if that vs hibbert. but i dont belive he will hold up 7 games vs hibbert. prove me wrong oden.
