It pretty much has everything to do with Durant/Mitchell. Heat can't trade Herro for six months once he signs an extension so they'd basically eliminate themselves from a trade the moment they do that. They've probably already negotiated an extension that they will formally offer if the KD and Mitchell stuff doesn't transpire.

How funny it will be if we miss out on everybody and just run it back, then next season :

1. KD suffers another serious injury and his contract with Phoenix looks toxic

2. Mitchell and the Knicks look like chit and the fans start to turn on him.

3. HighSmith look like a young Tucker, plays the role player PF to perfection.

4. Herro, Bam and Yurt make a leap and look much improved.

5. We keep all out picks for the next offseason.

IMO The Durant chase is just for show at this point..... Have serious doubts the Nets will lower the reported asking price for oft injured older player in KD....... If Miami lands an impact player, get the feeling it'll be Mitchell.

I think it looks pretty obvious at this point that Mitchell ends up in New York for a large mountain of picks.

Miami primarily focused on the KD pursuit but if that falls through then I actually wouldn't mind them trying to get Bojan Bogdanovic from Utah as a potential more offensive centric 4. He's in the last year of his deal and Utah just looking for draft capital.

he's trash. Dude singlehandedly torpedo'ed our series vs the Celtics. He somewhat showed up, barely, for ONE game and we won that game. Wasn't his stats for one of the games 0-7 with 0 pts lol.

There's one defender in that lineup and its Barrett--open season. Knicks are so dumb to double down on Brunson and Mitchell. But they are the knicks. Ceiling of that team is Dame and McCollum blazers. I guess that's better than what they've been to date, but to mortgage your future for that is so cringe
