Your ego is astounding. Wright averaged 20mpg last season to get those numbers. Roddy? 12mpg.
In future, when you go making craptacular statements that seem to favour your "argument", make sure you throw out "all the facts".
As for Roddy in question, I bet my bottom dollar that the Roddy interest is coming from Miami and Miami only. Dallas won't trade him unless we recieve a superstar talent back (through a package, which is what jcl was trying to state before heat fans such as "tim hardaway" started throwing words into his/her mouth). No Maverick fan in their right mind would ever expect a Roddy/Wade straight up swap.
Please go away. This is the Heat board. I don't care about your "elite prospect".
Superstar talent? GTFO.

LOL Maverick fan still hurting from losing in 06 they making Roddy seem like he Derrick Rose or Chris Paul. This kid was a third string PG and Beasley was a starting PF who still has to adjust to not being a number one option did people forget how he played when Wade was sitting out with injuries . JO>Haywood or at least their equal. It will be stupid to include Beasley. Barea is not the typical Pat Riley PG. He's short. I trust Riley and I doubt he'll be foolish to do this kind of trade.

lol .. one minute folks are feeling bad that we need to trade Beasley for Bosh .. and the next minute we are told how we can't have (2010-2011 all star) Rodrigue freakin Beaubois for him unless it is a package that includes Wade. Nice!

I don't think i wrote anything blatant. The thing is nobody knew who Roddy is because he was out of sight. GM's rewards athleticism, Roddy is a much better athlete than Beasley, who's no schmuck himself in that regard, but still, Roddy's a freak athlete. I know Beasley's game well, he has a nice post game, a nice touch, he's a really good shooter, he has good body strength, yet, i don't see any part of his game where he clearly has more potential than Roddy, despite the fact that Beasley was taken second, and Roddy's at 25. Obviously, we don't have to agree, but please don't tell me what to do, you're not a moderator, and i wasn't trolling. But i guess i wrote everything i wanted to write anyway. Have a nice day.

whatever!!! The point is, the difference between the two is not worth Michael Beasley.
If Haywood and Miami has mutual interest, better use the cap space than giving away Beasley. It will be stupid to give away something that you can have for free.

I agree that Beaubois is getting overrated in this thread (Though he's shown flashes when given PT), but Beasley was AWFUL when Wade was sitting down. He really struggled at that time, minus the game against Memphis.

He's obviously not Derrick Rose, or Chris Paul, but he has a really high ceiling, whether he can reach it or not, is a different question, but you guys really shouldn't see this as one of those guys was a starter, and the other was third string... Totally different situations, Roddy wasn't 3rd string because he wasn't good enough. If you're really interested, read about the kid (not just Mavs writers, the whole league knows him), and ask if he has any unique ability that Beasley may don't have... Not one writer thinks he would have in the ROY race if he plays on a lottery team. A lot of expert absolutely loved him, and it's pretty much a foregone conclusion that he should have been a Top 5 pick. In fact, we got offered a Top 6 pick for him this year's draft, needless to say our FO rejected.

Or we just really got lucky for once... Don't have to believe us, obviously, we'd probably say the same thing if Roddy wasn't this good, as fans are homers. Channing Frye should have been the next Duncan right?
That wasn't about Beasley's lack of game, but more about Roddy's really unreal potential. I think Beasley can be one of the best scorers in this league, and a borderline all-star, and Roddy may never reach that for what we know. But i think you can't give up this kind of speed and talent, especially in today's guard-ruled NBA... Now i really go, don't wanna get banned, hopefully i'm not there yet.

Re: Heat, Mavs Talking JO and/or Beasley For Haywood Trade?
u can say tht about Michael Beasley as well if he was on a lottery team and Miami drafted Oj Mayo and he went to Memphis . To me roddy is just a average PG who is like Nate Robinson quick, sc,ore in bunches, and defend here and there but guys like Beasley are rare. Beasley just needs to mature get into his comfort zone and there no limit to wht he can do . There have been a lot of steals in drafts we also got Mario in the second round and we are trading him for Chris Bosh ur saying u wouldn't trade Roddy for a PF who is a stud ur just overrating ur PG. I don't even want Roddy or Haywood for JO and Beasley I would much rather trade JO for Boozer and make Boozer my starting center

Re: Heat, Mavs Talking JO and/or Beasley For Haywood Trade?
We're not saying Beaubois is equivalent to Wade, it's just that if we're ever going to part with him it has to net us a LeBron/Wade or a similar tier player, otherwise we're better off just keeping him. The guy's potential is off the charts and he's been extremely awesome when called upon. In fact, I would say that he's the only other untouchable on the team since Dirk is considered as one by default.
A stark contrast to Beasley who, while young and also has a somewhat bright future, has been dangled incessantly by Pat Riley in trade conversations and someone he won't bat an eyelash when an average deal comes along.
As for Haywood: his defense is overrated. He's a great team defender but whenever I see him guarding a big one-on-one, I have flashbacks to Gana Diop. I know you can't guard anyone one-on-one but Wiz fans have bombarded us with so much hype about him not needing a double team (which is perfect for us since we rarely if not never double down) that I actually bought it.

Re: Heat, Mavs Talking JO and/or Beasley For Haywood Trade?
well Okur was Jazz center and when he got injured Boozer played Center and Bosh said he don't wanna play center so why not make Bosh be a PF and Boozer do all the banging UD is 6'8 to he was center this is just if Haywood fails and we actually do get Jose and Bosh for Mario
PG- Jose
SG-Wade
SF-Beasley
PF-Bosh
C - Boozer or Haywood
To Me tht is a NBA finals caliber team with proper role players

Jose Calderon - Bad defender
Michael Beasley - Average (At best) defender. And far too slow to defend SF's like Pierce, Melo, Durant, LBJ, etc.
Chris Bosh - Average defender (W/potential because he tries and is tall/has length)
Carlos Boozer - Poor defender (Lack of height/length, questionable effort)
Not enough defense in that starting line-up IMO.

Only 3 times in NBA history has the rookie PER leader not become an all-star. The third was was Roddy. Not Wright...not Beasley...Roddy. Roddy will be an all-star. Mark my words.

Re: Heat, Mavs Talking JO and/or Beasley For Haywood Trade?
Well we can trade Jose hopefully I wish for a good PG who can defend. Wade can defend and Beasley will learn and adjust, to me he is a good defender he just sleeps sometimes but tht will get better with age. Bosh to me too is also good but doesn't put effort . Let's see we need a good PG and Center and hopefully we resign Wade's buddies in Q-Rich,Wright and UD
