hmm I wonder if we will use the MMLE?

deshawn stevenson got waived as well, we all know we won't be courting him lol

the real winner from the greg oden sweepstakes is Amundson. teams will be showering him with money or at least more then he would have gotten now that oden is gone.

Joel Anthony is 6'9"...as for Russell, back then very few guys were taller than that...

Joel doesn't suck because he's 6'9.

So it should have been easier for guys like Wilt or Walter Dukes or Chuck Share to lead their team to championships because apparently height means everything

Can't get my thoughts in the Greg Oden thread but getting him for the minimum is a freakin' steal. Extremely happy about this.

EDIT: Just saw the Greg Oden to Miami thread, whoops. Point stands anyway.

The next course of action is to get rid of Joel's contract. Then go after Harrington, Mo Williams, or Lamar Odom with either 1 year minimum deals or some combo of our mini exception.

Anyone think we should take a look at DeShawn Stevenson ? he can be the replacement of MM, or maybe we better take a look at Ennis since he is young.

I like the idea somebody proposed a few days ago about trading Philly's protected 1st back to them as a reward for taking Joel. They avoid giving up two 2nds in the future, we unload salary and they try to get to the cap floor.

I'm curious to see what they do with Joel Anthony...Riley has to be looking and I'm not sure any team is dumb enough to trade for him

We were able to trade Mark Blount. Let's not underestimate the stupidity of NBA teams.

I thought that was when we were going for the worst record in the league and Derek rose. Maybe I'm wrong.

This smells like a philly trade in the making.

Mark Blount was only traded for salary as he was expiring, Joel has 2 years. Mark Blount is also a much better NBA player than Joel Anthony. Joel has yet to prove he can catch a cold, while Blount provide to be lazy but when on, could be a solid scorer out of post and mid range.

Joel Anthony is a shot blocker and absolutely nothing else.
