I went with Walker, Ennis, and Rio. Rio's done all he could at this point, and he's not improving. Walker is a fringe player, and so is Ennis. Green renders Ennis useless unfortunately. I don't want to give up Napier because there's still time for him to develop. No way am I cutting Birdman from a team that barely has enough size to work with, nor am I cutting a playmaker in McRoberts before he has a real opportunity to help this team succeed (what if we cut Miller after that first injury-plagued season?).

Zoran still has upside and something to give to this team, as well as Tyler Johnson. There's no sense in drafting Richardson just to cut him. He might be good enough to keep on the roster for cheap this season as an end-of-roster player. Zilla is a HEAT Lifer. He's not going anywhere. He didn't fly the coop when LeBron did and is a cult hero down here. He deserves to be in the HEAT Ring of Fire.

If you aren't for sending any combo of zoran/ennis/walker/richardson I question your aptitude. Not only that but if we were going to "trade someone for nothing" why not let it be shabazz.... He's cute and cuddly but let's be for real. He hasn't done anything note worthy in a heat jersey ever. Rio has sucked recently but he's had some huge moments and can defend when he wants.

Rumour has it a trade with the Clippers is being discussed where we get Jamal Crawford in return for Rio and Bird.

And what do we do with Crawford; sit him behind Green and Winslow? He's no point guard and the other two (Green and Winslow) deserve to play. At some point we have to stop grabbing big names and start grabbing smart role players. We don't need a chucker, we need a floor general. With Green and Winslow here, I'd rather have Rio...

I really don't understand this sentiment. McRoberts is a playmaking stretch forward in the mold of a Lamar Odom, very intelligent with the ball and plays a cerebral game. Why trade him when he would be ideal with Miami's second unit alongside a developing Napier, Winslow, and an established Stoudemire/Bosh?

That's another skilled passer and shooter on the floor with him! Players like him don't grow on trees.

Most of these numbskulls calling for McRob's trade have never seen him play. He will be perfect on this team.

Actually "numbskull" I have watched him play and he's known for his half court offense passing. Spo and Dragic have said that they want to run. McRob won't be a perfect fit on this team.

It's clear we need a capable and experienced back up PG for Goran. None of what we have will do. Just because Chalmers is the best option doesn't mean we keep him. He was never a good PG, we kept him because we never had enough money to sign a proper PG.

I believe the halt w/ Thornton may be for this exact reason. I think we're looking for a PG & also back up C.

Why do some of you guys want McBob gone? Dude can play. Now if your reasoning is due to his health, than that is more understandable.

Cut Ennis and Walker. It's really a shame that Ennis is entering his 3rd season and still can't dribble for crap. There is no room for Walker on the roster. Chalmers won't be cut because he is owed 4.3 Mil guaranteed next season.

The sample size in Charlotte is enough to convince me that that he deserves a shot.

Or maybe the people who want him out are too dumb to know how to vote.

Is there a deadline by which they need to be down to 15 players?

If we look at the business side of things, I doubt the Heat pays tax, so probably 2 players will be traded. With Amare, maybe McBob, Birdman could be gone. I also think Chalmers can help a non-playoff team or a team with a Young PG. He might have value.
I'd try to look for a backup Center. Reed did well in the summer league, too back we lost him for so little money. Maybe we can convince Larry Sanders?
