This is on Riley. Wade made it crystal clear last year that he wanted market value after sacrificing in previous years. And then Riley slaps him in the face with a $10 million one year offer? I think the Godfather thing has gone to Riley's head.

Nah. I think what happened is Riley didn't like what Wade has become since 2010. And Riley was humiliated and lied to in 2014.

"No more smiling faces with hidden agendas"

Just remember, last off-season, Wade was out there calling Riley a "bitch".

Riley isn't a pussy. Wade wants to become James 2.0, burning bridges and being prideful, then Riley will respond and do what's best for the team.

He has. He's even helping DWade pack as we speak.

That offer was never on the table.

This whole thing had nothing to do with money....

It was about something else for Pat Riley. We're spending the cap money, whether it goes to Wade or Lance Stephenson and a parade of other scrubs.

No. Riley put a fair offer on the table.

Wade did not like being 3rd. Riley didn't care and wouldn't budge. Thus ends the marriage.

And we move on...

Wanted him to retire a Heat. Whatever your dispute was I'm sadden it couldn't be settled. I remember watching Wade at Marquette thinking why are teams not talking about him in the draft. My jaw dropped when we drafted him. I remember thinking he was gonna be an athletic Gary Payton. Well he became a 1000x better. You will be missed.

It's as simple as this. I don't blame either party in all honesty, though I suspect Pat Riley is gonna a ton a blame tomorrow.

Hardly comparable. Wade brought 3 championships to the Heat and cemented Miami as one as the better franchises ever. At first glance, this looks like a salty shot lol.

When it comes to anything basketball related my allegiance as been and will always be
1. Wade
2. Heat
Wade is the reason that I fell in love with basketball and in turn the Miami Heat. I haven't been following free agency this year at all, so opening up bleacherreport and seeing the announcement that Wade was going to the Bulls almost brought me to tears. I'm still choked up half and hour later, this is just so depressing.
I'll always support Wade no matter where he goes and hope he does well, and I'll try and watch as many games as possible. However, over the years I've come to dislike/hate every other team in the NBA. So I don't know if I'll ever be able to root for the Bull to do well, but I can't bring myself to root against DWade. I've always thought that if Wade ever left the Heat I would be able to support him and the team he played for, but now I find myself despising the Bulls and hoping they fail in everything they do once DWade leaves.

This is just gut-wrenching, I can't F**king believe it.

On a side note. I'm hoping Manchester United can get Pogba to make what as been an awful summer just a little bit better.

No kidding. This is a bigger surprise to me than Durant honestly.

This move has left me stunned.

Even for me as a non Heat fan it's hard to believe.
I expected Wade to be like Dirk as far as being a superstar HOF'er that only plays for one team.
Wade had accepted less money during the past, not like Dirk has, but he still accepted less, and yet Wade walks from Miami's offer.
Sad day, but from a business standpoint, the two parties (Wade and Ownership) failed to see eye to eye.

Is Wade to blame? I believe the ownership and management is to blame.

Wade's knees are shot.

Yeah, he had a nice surprise season last year. But next season, he could just as easily get injured again and miss half the year.
