After watching his highlights this guy has crazy athleticism, really does remind me of a shawn kemp/dwight lite. He is only 19 and already has a great build on him much like winslow and you know when you are on the heat they make you stronk. I think he shows promise with the shot, obviously he wasnt asked to shoot much in kentucky or handle the ball with 2 top 10 guards flanking him. 30 out of 50 threes made for a big that was thought not to have much offensive game besides lobs and dunks is impressive and riley obviously liked his character/attitude. I wanted collins as hes much more polished offensively and was more productive at WF but im not scoffing at this pick. Lets see how he does as our backup C/PF

Ideally our roster looks something like this

pg - Dragic/Johnson
sg - Waiters/Richardson
sf - Ellington/Mcgruder/Babbitt
pf - Winslow/Johnson/Adebayo/White
c - Whiteside/McRoberts/Haslem

what we do with the last spot who knows but I think this team with a healthy and improved Justise, TJ, Dion, JRich, Whiteside is a deep athletic team that can run with the best in the east. Overcoming the cavs might not be a reality for next season but we have a nice young core to build with

Relax guys, we have professional scouts and management that liked this kid. Maybe he has the work ethic they're looking for, he obviously has the genetics.

The size of this kid at 19 is just insane. The beef in the frontline with Whiteside, Bam, and Winslow is just absolutely bruising. Just wait till we get bam in the workout and conditioning program. Dragic is going to have a ton of fun on the break with this monster running the court.

This is closer to drafting Larry Centers at FB in the first round because you think he can do more then block.

This pick at least has rare athleticism for his size.

So his weakness is a pretty big one; IQ. How much that develops determines if he's a bench scrub or Amar'e Stoudamire-lite.

Yeah his feel for the game leave s a bit to be desired. He coulda been a bit more dominate for his size against the guys he was up against in college.

Maybes it's cause he's young, or maybe it's cause he didn't wanna impose too much on a team with Malik monk and fox on it. After all, I think devin booker and towns averaged like 12 or 13 a game in their college seasons on one of those stacked Kentucky teams.

I always find it difficult to determine how good some of the secondary prospects they produce are gonna be cause those teams are always so loaded and calipari doesn't really let them spread their wings. Like being on that team ruined skals stock they had him posting up and that's the opposite of what he should've been doing.
