I'm not really understanding why they would want to go after a SF. I mean sure, it would be great to get Artest here, but I think there is more important things to worry about then SF. Let Marion stay there, which also keeps Haslem at PF. Go after Lowry like some people have said, by trading some combination of Jwill and/or Ricky. And sign Diop with the MLE this summer. Use the draft pick on the best available player (hopefully Beasley, Rose) and they are right back where they need to be.

Next years lineup:

C: Diop, (Zo), Blount
PF: Haslem, Marion
SF: Marion, Wright
SG: Wade, Cook
PG: Lowry, Banks

* With one of either Beasley, Rose, or Bayless thrown in there.

Sources have told ESPN.com that the Hornets and Houston Rockets were in serious discussions Wednesday night on a multi-player deal that would send Mike James and Bonzi Wells to New Orleans for Bobby Jackson and one or two other players.

that lineup still has no shooters, Lowry and Banks are not a good platoon
we need a Jarett Jack type PG at least who can keep defenses honest

I'm not sure that team is good enough to make any noise

Not sure if Houston is looking for expirings but wouldn't Jwill for Mike James and Bonzi make sense?

Ehh, yeah, i guess your right.

What kinda trade would Memphis consider, for both Miller and Lowry? I'm not thinking much, considering what they gave Gasol away for. Miller would be the shooter Miami needs with that kind of lineup.

According to an ESPN insider article, the Cavs and Grizzlies are discussing a trade that would send Mike Miller, Brian Cardinal, and Kyle Lowry to the Cavs in exchange for Donyell Marshall, Cedric Simmons, Dwayne Jones, and Ira Newble.

Found that in the Mem-Cleveland thread on the trade board. Miller and Lowry for that? Wow I think it's hard to imagine Miami couldn't offer a little better then that, while still not giving up much. What a bargain that would be for the Cavs.

We could combine the ORL and SAC trades into one.

MIA gets: Brad Miller, Artest
ORL gets: Blount, Haslem
SAC gets: JWill, Garrity, Dooling, Redick, Evans, ORL 1st round pick

Sacramento gets all expirings except for Redick, as well as a 1st. ORL gets their enforcer PF to do the dirty work.

Banks/Quinn
Wade/Davis/Cook
Artest/Wright
Marion
Miller/Zo

We could still trade Ricky and Cook for Mlller/Lowry or just let Ricky expire and gain some cushion from the tax. Draft a PG and use the MLE on a defensive backup PF/C.

Come on now, Hubie's alright. He's repeats himself too much and points out the obvious, but he's alright. Pick on Bill Walton. He's atleast an ass.
