Exactly this, all of our beat writers will scream to the heavens that we are better without Hassan like there's no tomorrow but ever since Amin Elhassan came out with that stat that said that the Heat are better without Wade they've all shut up because Heat articles about Wade being the problem don't sit well with most Miami readers who worship Wade.

Hassan though is an easy scapegoat. All we heard for weeks was that the Heat are better defensively without Hassan, the same offensively, thus based on that Hassan is having negative impact... such a joke.

By that logic everybody other than Bosh and Dragic are having Negative impact. Bosh isn't included because he's the one person that we're worse without and Dragic isn't included because his on/off numbers say that we're basically the same whether he's on the floor or not.

What're you gonna do though when our writers have an agenda? The latest thing was them putting up out of context snippets of Wade and Bosh trashing on Hassan because clicks >.

It's whatever though. Hassan is still a great comeback story and whether its here or elsewhere he will get paid, he's proven himself as a legit NBA talent already.

hassan is a good player idk where the hate is coming from.yes he may have some personality issues like easy to get angry and wanting the ball in the lowpost but the fella has worked his butt off since he came to the heat and i think its unfair to dogpile on him like that.no,you better tell the truth that the whole system and some of the players are not in sync in terms of playing together

Sklonick and that dumbass on his show are the KINGS of using this stupid f*cking stat then ignoring it.

And it sucks because I know that Ethan is better than that. He just gets so caught up in the on going narratives. Earlier this season when Hassan went off on the Rockets Ethan said that you have to keep Hassan, that you can't risk losing him over a pipe dream of getting Durant.

Tune into his show now though and Hassan is the scrubbiest scrub to ever scrub in American Airlines Arena. No mention of upside or improvement just negative, negative, negative... Then when the stat is brought up in regards to Wade they piss their pants because no one on Miami radio says anything bad about Wade ever, and for good reason. You can't make the franchise face the scapegoat.

Ethan will spew whatever message the teams wants to send out. He and most are so scared of losing their access they will say anything the team wants them to. They are trying to humble Hassan but seriously at what cost. This is a business still.

Glad some of you are coming around and seeing that Skolnick obviously has an agenda towards Hassan. I been calling him out on his BS, for a few weeks now. I've never seen beat writers of other teams dogpile on a player as much as Ethan does on Whiteside. This is a time where all of us fans come together and support Hassan and hope gets better.

He doesnt have agenda against anybody he is just internet generation who nonstop write what is trending with Wade exeption becouse of GOAT status Wade have in Miami. These week is Whiteside before was Dragic,SPO and so on.
Whatever we thinking here Whiteside will get close to max offers next summer.Question is only who gonna pay him Miami or some other team.

Totally agree that the message is being fueled as a motivational tactic for Whiteside by the organization. Skolnick just relaying back what they want him to say. He is usually very careful not to alienate the Heat organization. Either way Hassan has to start playing much better.

Eh idk. I listen to his podcast on most days, and while his opinions do change (which is to be expected as we watch more games throughout a season), I don't think he has an agenda against Hassan. He will criticize Hassan when he's playing poorly, but he will also give him props when he shows improvement (like after the WAS game where Hassan was guarding the perimeter much better). Even today, while he did talk about Wade/Bosh getting on Hassan last night, he also criticized Wade/Bosh for not leading the team last night.

My agenda is to hope the best center this team has had in a long time "gets it" everyone benefits from it. Sorry i am not a blatant hater like you. I actually want this team to succeed, do you?

I kinda hope Hassan leaves and dominates on the next team he's with who actually gets the ball in his hands aside from Wade lob's. Then tears us a new one when we meet.

While I do think Hassan has become the flavor of the week in terms of placing blame (I mean seriously, EVERYONE was to blame last night), I don't think any of the points that the media have brought up about him are necessarily untrue.

Let's hope whatever issues that exist can be resolved. GoodSide makes the Heat a better team. BadSide doesn't.

"Spo" and "no" go hand-to-hand to, rhyming and all. Man he would dismantle us so bad.

I hope him and Rio sign to the same team. Would literally be basketball apocalypse for us.

Let's just hope he comes out motivated against King Joffrey tomorrow. Don't want to see another Cole Aldrich performance on Hassan ever again.

I don't hear a lot of +/- talk about last night's game. Funny, isn't it? I mean if Hassan was -15, I'm sure we'd be hearing about it. Did anyone check how it went for our team last night? I did. Here are the results:

Image

Man, look at that Hassan Whiteside! -3!!! WTF, Hassan? Why can't you be like Bosh? Oops. -24? That's weird. How did Wade do? -9. Hmmmm...

We should probably just stop looking at this +/- since it doesn't fit the agenda.

Incidentally, I'm not defending Hassan's game. He played a crappy game. 5 Turnovers is crap. Absolutely crap. Other players should look to their own before opening up their mouths though.

I agree. It's a bad look to call out your teammates. That's why it's so weird to me that Bosh/Wade would do it. They didn't even talk about Rio like that lol.
