I'm old enough to remember when it was no use even bothering because the Warriors had the next 3 or 4 championships locked up.

This is why you never take yourself out of the game by tying up your cap for multiple years with marginal starters and decent bench players.

Toronto didn't believe the hype and went out and got themselves a ring.

Honestly Wilts, if dude left I wouldn't even be mad. He deserves the right to go anywhere he wants. He doesn't owe us anything. It's like he's a hired mercenary with one job and that was to win a chip, and now he's done it.

If he does stay, the question is, is it short term or long term? Definitely in his personal interest to lock up money long term since injuries can derail a career really quickly, I just don't know if he does that with us. Other dudes on the team are on the wrong side of 30 and declining. Can only really sell him on playing with Pascal and recruiting other FA's. I trust Masai to make the right decisions though, dude is a beast of a GM
