Greg Oden to Miami?

He almost has to end up going to the Heat. They have been in communication with him for so long. And they're always rumored to be a finalist for his services. Frankly, I'd be shocked if he doesn't wind up there...

The benefit for Oden to sign with Miami is that he not only gets to have a chance at winning a title but be part of a dynasty, live in South Beach, play with Lebron. I just find it hard to believe that he will give this up to play in New Orleans. Plus, if he signs with Miami, he will technically have another whole season off but get paid millions to live in South beach because he will play limited minutes to start off, train with the best and prepare for the playoffs.

Looks like his camp is going to hold out for the extra cash, so it's up to Micky to pony up. This should be in part why we amnestied Mike.

I think if it a team option they will ask for more money up front for this year.. but player option gives them more leeway in terms of money, meaning taking less now.

Just give him the player option. If he plays well enough, he's gonna opt out anyways to get a larger contract

OK I have a buddy who lives in New Orleans.
He knows I'm a huge Heat fan and he sent me a text saying he saw Oden in downtown New Orleans today...

I'm not claiming to have a source because this guy could be just messing with me but figured I'd pass it along in case it has legs...

Again, this guys could be just giving me a hard time for giggles...

Was just about to post that. Yea, i think there would have been multiple sources saying Oden is in NO. esp since they are finding this guy all over the place. It's like a BIGFOOT sighting.
